if i open a 2017 file in LO 2018 the line tool responds with a extension at the end of it

Shape style window freezing

I get this all the time, layout stops responding stroke button, start stop arrow unresponsive until you restart layout. -

EHHHH So for the life of me i cannot figure out why if i rotate an imported image in layout when i export the pdf it rotates the image back to the original position

I usually use a line thickness of .1 for these types of details being the display of screws and bolts
i am not big on scrap books for inserting in my eyes cad objects i use them for boiler notes weld symbols section cut lines elevation symbols etc.

I often generate details of connections for structural framing of steel aluminum etc.. i keep libraries of 2d things like bolts, construction teks etc.... very often these things get washed out in layout, layout has a hard time generating such fine lines, outside of wireframe anyways
i have figured out that if you drag/move the group/componenet forward of the other object say 1/2" the line generation gets a lot cleaner or if you make the object with faces and drag it forward it appears like a draw order in other cad programs
does anybody have any tips they use or care to share to display fine objects in a larger models using scales less than an inch

thanks Bryan, I have done some great jobs using sketchup, i will keep adding pictures from time to time
