RE: Google Sketchup Pro 7 is out
Hi all,
First, SketchUp 7 is smart for intersecting overlapping lines.
Second, Shortcuts come from version 6, when you install plugins.
Let's continue exploring

RE: What is this? Can be resolve that? I have nvidia 8800 gt...
I am afraid that is a driver problem for Nvidia G92 chipset cards (8800GT and 8800GTS). I have similar problems with my new 8800GT. Hope new Geforce beta 175.16 will solve that. My previews 7950GT worked without problems.

RE: Instancing
Sketchup exporter to Indigo from Whaat does a great job with instancing.

RE: Curved Ramp??
Have a look at aitop
http://archsymb.com/ruby/index.php?dir=&file=aitop.zip&AutoIndex2=4e6bf40b1011f7ae6cd0bb267c601c82Another script you can use is grow.rb from TIG http://www.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/Ruby/EM/Grow.rb
Also there is a nice tutorial from Jean Lemire about this matter in the old Sketchup Forum

RE: 4GB on Win 2k & XP
64-bit Windows by default can access up to 128 Gb Ram.
I have 8Gb Ram on my system running XP-64 and bios and windows regognise all.
Laptops are another story.

RE: 4GB on Win 2k & XP
Win XP 32 can acccess from 2.7 Gb to 3.5 under some conditions and /3gb in boot.ini.
4Gb in 32 bit is more complicated.
For example, on Asus Motherboards (P965 or P35 Chipset) you have to disable memory remap feature on NorthBridge.
But most 32-bit software have access only to 2 Gb memory max.
IMHO it is better in this case to use Windows (XP or Vista) 64 bit.

RE: Opinion: Rhino to SU Export.
You can try an evaluation version

http://download.mcneel.com/download.asp?id=SketchupExportPluginAfter Rhino 4 released, I have changed my workflow from AutoCad-SU to AutoCad-Rhino4-SU. Works fine for me in highway engineering details.

WIP - Villa Mairea
Hi All,
This is an unfinished clay model of Villa Mairea (Alvar Aalto) I started ten months ago in my free time (very limited).
Plans, sections and elevations found in various sources (Books-Web). Modelled in SU5 Pro and rendered with Kerkythea 2007.There is a lot of work to do, but I hope someday to finish it.
Regards,
George
