      Ok. Thanks. I think I understand. I don't know about any viewer like you described.

      If I hit the player button more than once (and how could I resist) it keeps spinning faster and faster and I can't stop it by clicking the window. Why is the play button pointing left where I always seem them point right. Is that something Irish?

      That is the "Reset view" button not player. 😄 Later tooltips will make it more obvious.

      The speeding up on multiply clicks problem will be fixed on Monday.

      EDIT on Monday: Fixed.

      However, am I seeing things or did something change.

      😄
      As I said: Under development. Hopefully will see some more new features and less bugs in the upcoming days. 😄 ( Current new feature: Displaying actual scene names in the right bottom corner if the model has scenes.)

      EDIT: So if you have the latest script you should be able to see the scene names e.g. at Rich's latest model.

      I am suddenly getting nothing at all when I click on one of the models!!

      As the viewer at the moment is under continuous development and bug-fixing it might happen that it behaves strange or completely stops for short periods of time. If that lasts longer than an hour try to cache erase-reload (Ctrl-F5) to get the latest script.

      For me the scenes didn't work.

      Could you do a browser cache erase/reload (Ctrl + F5) and try it now?

      I couldn't open the nice wireframe sphere on fullscreen.

      Did you get any error messages. If you open the javascript console do you see any error messages there?

      @jql said:

      1 - It took a lot of time to open the viewer embedded on this page;

      Performance issues will be addressed later. There are several points in the script that are not performance optimized yet.

      @jql said:

      2 - It took what seemed to be the same amount of time for it to open the fullscreen page (I wouldn't expect I would have to reload it, only that I had to wait for my punny GPU to display it)

      Yes, the fullscreen view at the moment reloads the model.

      @jql said:

      3 - Reload was finished but didn't show.
      [/quit]
      What was on the screen? Any error messages?

      @jql said:

      EDIT: Also, on the full screen window there's a fullscreen icon to make it fullscreen... I guess that's for people to be sure they are in full screen or that this full screen is as full as it gets 😄

      Will address this as well.

      Thank you for the testing.

      u can embed with <iframe>

      Surfer showing the viewer embeded on a site must be registered on Sketchucation ?

      To upload a model to the viewer you have to be a member. Actually now only a few testers has the ability to upload.

      If the model is set to be public it can be embedded into any HTML page and anybody can see it there. If the model is set to private, only those can see it who are allowed by the author.

    • RE: The Adblock detection of SketchUcation seems faulty

      In a small percentage of the time our ad service provider (BSA) fails to deliver the ads. If that happens then even with adblock off the ads won't display. So if sometimes when adblock is off you see no ads this is because of that.

      If you won't see ads all the time even with adblock off that might be a different issue on your end.

      Full-screen X works - opens a new tab.
      So no need to press Esc to back step ?

      Thank you for the info. Well..... This "fullscreen" might need some refining.... Right now this was the easiest way to go to "fullscreen" from within an Iframe but later it might change to a more fancy solution. 😄

      BTW now it has the "fullscreen" option enabled (cross arrows).

      (If new functions like the fullscreen do not work, simply erase browser cache to let the new javascript load.)

      Are you guys using a renderer or what the heck are you talking about (remember that I still consider myself a newbie to SU so I am trying to learn all I can)?

      Yes, the viewer is a sort-of "real-time renderer" using the capabilities of WebGL. Of course it has far less sophisticated settings than the professional not real-time rendering software like Thea or V-Ray but still has some simple setting options for materials, lights, etc.

      @Oli,
      Did you try to drag your mouse over he area? After clicking the placeholder it starts with an empty area but when you click and drag on it it should show the model.

      EDIT: We were writing parallel ... 😄
