...Invert the tripod...Now that's a great idea and I hadn't thought of that; thanks Dave! Will try this one tomorrow (on work's time)
Kass- will also give the scanner idea a go. I have time to kill on the internet here, so I'll post tomorrow how things go
Cotty- The lens is a nikkor 45mm 2.8 tilt-shift. 50mm would be better, but 45 should be close enough (better than a point and shoot anyway). Sorry, don't have an example on this computer

How do I create a perfect profile outline of a tool, like a wrench? I've tried using the Photo-match feature while using a professional grade low visual distortion lens, and I'm my designs are still coming out too skewed to fit tools neatly.

Thought that this would also alter the geometery (doesn't...right?). However, I am extremely glad that I stumbled upon this, it's insanely useful. Never thought i would need it until I got it.
I have to confess that I've never actually understood the layers bit in SU. Thanks to this plugin I do now; way cool!
