Discovered the "walkthrough animation" in Kerkythea yesterday. This is my first animation test. Scene has 481 frames, rendertime about 9 hours. Kerkythea is great! Hi EduardoNL, I suggest you take a look at this thread at the KT Forum, where I've provided a small test scene and a step by step guide, showing you how to use it right... Hope this can help you further...

You know, perhaps it would be a cool idea to design the new station in a similar way to the old one, but a bit more modern. I think the surroundings would benefit from that Could you show us a view including the tracks?

Thanks for your comment! I know the mech is a bit stiff, I need to move a few joints here and there to simulate some movement. Looking forward to seeing some of your renders!

@eduardonl said: Setting are on preset no. 6 no. 17 takes a bit too long, can you recommend any other settings? Preset 6 is good, but it all depends on the complexity of your scene... Sometimes preset 6 will take much longer... Like I said... For an exterior scene like this, with only the sun to light it up, preset no. 17 is my preferred... Remember... Although it shows 10000 passes before it's finished, you can finish it at any stage and by experience you will learn that the scene usually is crisp and clean after 50-60 passes... If you insert som instanced Xfrog trees, I'm sure that preset 6 will take much longer compared to preset 17...

EduardoNL, I've found that the stock textures that come in SU materials don't look very realistic and they get worse when they are tiled over a big area like your last building. I think it was Remus who pointed me to a really useful texture site (http://www.cgtextures.com/). For roofs and walls this is great. Also, I've begun to make up a libray of my own photo textures that I can use on different buildings. The other thing is to spend some time messing with the seamless tiling feature on you photo-editor to get the right effect for big areas. The issue is not that the texture IS acurate, it's that it LOOKs acurate. Tom
