I found an image of this house sometime ago and it's been stuck in my draw.
I finally got around to modelling it this weekend.
This is a straight SU export.
My next plan is maybe play around with one in PS and try a watercolour type image also.
I want to try my hand at rendering this model with KT or Podium, or even both. For that I will have to wait for KTs release on Wednesday, or payday on Thursday so I can buy Podium!
Ecory, if you right click on the ramps surface and choose Align Axis.
This should allow you to get the green/red inferencing back.
Once you have finished, right click somewhere over the axis and choose Reset.
Alternatively you can set the axis manually by clicking on the axis icon on your toolbar.
Dave that looks pretty cool in hidden line form, it really shows some modelling skills to produce so quickly and to such small model size.

Any chance, if you get time of a small tut showing your methods in creating one or two components?
I have the Dell 24" Ultrasharp and have been very impressed with it.
Works well, great images and aesthetically looks very nice.

I like the look of the site as soon as I enter. Has a professional look with some nice images.
If I was looking for something to crit, (although this is subjective) I feel the image of the house in your logo is the wrong perspective. I would prefer not to see it tilted so much and sit a little more upright. Maybe it is because you have the horizontal band running below it causes me to think this. Maybe play around with that.

No changes have been made as far as im aware Al.
We did have an incident last week with a server crash which logged everyone out, but since logging back in no more problems have been reported.

Kim are you saying the trees and shrubs will be in the new Kerk 2008 so can be placed before rendering pretty much like the images posted above?
That is such a good post Phil and really helps put things in perspective.
I guess it is probably what most people may expect if they are being realistic, but it is good to have it confirmed by someone that is actually carrying out the dream!

It is a very nice movie and setup of model, just way to quick in my opinion.
I would like to see a slightly slower version John if you can make one.

These look fantastic. The house looks good, but it is the rest of the image which impresses me more.
When I see these good renders of external shots I realise how much I am really missing out on improving/presenting my 3d models. I can model beautiful looking houses if required, but I have not aquired the skills for presenting them like this.
I must get started rendering!
Im with Rob, I really enjoy seeing these type of renders. Infact im going to try some myself with Kerkythea.
I really like your windows with blinds, did you model these yourself?
Also the image for the outside looks very real, you have blended it very nicely.
It is a very nicely modelled scene. It would be an interesting one to see rendered in various packages.
