Old Stuff: SUbD Hornet with hair using Skatter 1.3 - 2016
Dec 2016 using SU 2017 + Thea Render
Back then... model build with new hair tests using Skatter 1.3, which had just come out.
Insect built using SUbD... my first real project with SUbD.
First four images are the remake of the head with shorter Skatter hair, all others are the first attempts.

RE: Beach Hut
Have to totally agree with Solo, these are absolutely cute.
Reminds me of the four little beach huts in the game Fortnite... the west side of the island.
Good work.

RE: Twinmotion practice
Nice job. This is an encouragement for those, like myself, who haven't tried TM yet, to give it a go around the block.

Shame that tiling texture is taking some of the sheen off an otherwise lovely render
Thank you Rich. Much appreciated.
To be frank, trying to find a texture that worked at this scale was a REAL issue. What I settled with was a compromise but, better than other options I tried. Do you have a suggestion for something that is much larger in scale for any future, similar circumstances?

Old Stuff: Praetorium Ingressum Magnas Pelagus
Made back in April 2019 using SketchUp 2019 and Thea Render V2, "Large Hall Main Entry" - Originally inspired by Abigail Jameson's Harbor Wall (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Xlw4D), this project is an experiment of varied fog, light and shadow with an exaggerated scale that profits from the large open spaces... going for that STAR WARS Coruscant scale of architecture.
3D people are Renderpeople assets.Thank you Anthony Kavassis for bringing this inspiration to my attention.

Old Stuff: Croft Manor Library
Made July 2019 wish SU 2019.
Rendered with Thea Render V2, this was for fun and practice with volumetrics.

Old Stuff: Flowers - Ode to Vimage Visualisation
Made July 2018, using SU2018 + Thea Render
Vimage Visualisation makes plants. And THAT is an understatement. The flowers chosen for this project, not only looked good from afar... but, these show you how well they hold up close. If I can find the time, I'll render off a couple other shots. Until then, Thank you Vimage!

Old Stuff: My first model Test 01 Building Site 2007
SU6
I imagine that "many" have a similar model when starting SketchUp and following the first "How to" videos available back in the day (2006-2007).I bought SketchUp, found a "How to start with SU" type of tutorial (build a building). This was the result. Then I started on the KP mall. I was looking through the old HDD for an export image that I know exists but couldn't find it. But, I did find the original old model. So, I loaded it up in SU2016 (A bit weird for nostalgia sake) and rendered it in Thea... just to see. Anyway, from humble beginnings to humble ends.... this is it.
The moment this "class" was over, I began building this... the reason for getting SU. https://www.facebook.com/pg/Kemp.Productions/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1129359217109654

"Our Journey through Cancer" group cover image
Made for a Facebook Group cover using SketchUp 2020 + Thea Render V2.2
New group name: OJTC "Our Journey through Cancer" cover image.
Original - MJTC "My Journey through Cancer" cover image variations.
"A group to share, learn and ask questions when confronting this subject of mortality, survival and the battle of and for hope."
Our friend, who started the group, lost her battle. As I am familiar with the subject and administrator of the group, I felt it needed a change from "My Journey through Cancer" to "Our" since she was now gone. Thus, the project here.
