A question please?
Does Shaderlight multi-thread?
Access available multi-core CPU's
What about x64 ?
Very slick plugin but speed is always an issue.
Thx

Good call and you beat me to it
Note that every wall segment is now a group and now can be edited separately.
(both width and height + openings etc)
Exterior walls are generally different in width easy to edit with a pp.
Could also have been selected separately with different wall thickness.
One can Boolean selected walls together as needed too.
Killer idea and congrats
That's all folks
Thanks to you and Whaat

Right on and good call.
Just a sloppy vector PP but system works OK if one is not in a hurry.
FYI:Short strokes basics
extrude line by 2 points
select all
pp vector (enter #)for wall thickness
flatten to 2d
make faces
extrude
cleanup

You are just a little quick to judge.
The boolean mode will join for a T if you need to.
There is always some cleanup especially for the free stuff.
Also flatten to 2d is another work-around.
Works for me.
so you figure.

Hi Pmolson
Clff notes on a short course for wall building 1A.
First do a blockout for wall lines using a construction line tool
My choice is cline.rb (JimFolz)
http://sketchuptips.blogspot.com/2008/02/plugin-construction-line-tool.html
Change from construction lines to wall layout lines for selection and wall build.
Select line (and curves) for wall build using the ExtrudeAlongPathV3.rb
http://rhin.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/plugin_details.php?id=136
This will create a wall with thickness, wall height, and alignment as settings.
The wall sections are created as groups and can combined as needed using a
2-boolean tool.

Another option
Turbocad Deluxe V17
(this version has the Design Director included)
Easy to setup and use.
Interface and keystrokes user configurable
Super import/export including
dwg up to 2011
(SU dwg import editable text and dimensions from SU)
Obj
3ds
Import SU
Paper space/model space
xref (limited)
Good value and under $70 US if you call.
I have used Tcad for over 10 years as Architect of record for both residential and commercial projects of substantial scope.
Very good for 2d production docs but no BIM (Revit)
option.
If the above is a project requirement then you are out of luck using Tcad or equal.
Well worth a look and a demo is available too.

Somehow I did download the html.
Your link worked perfect and thank you so much
OK for SU V8 pro too.
Very handy tool.

Hi All
This article on TechRepublic.com newsletter on older, slimmer and even faster software really said it and I gave an old version of SU 7 portable a new look-back just for fun
.
No way to know just where it came from but it will run on a USB drive on Win 2000 to boot.
Surprise and a good heads-up too
(TechRepublic is a super source of all kinds of techstuff and shows up every morning with something of good use and interest.)
http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/networking/?p=3591&tag=nl.e101.
Just an idea from the pros.

Hi Daniel
Very very nice work and thx a bunch.

Yum

FYI ALL
Works with basic triangulated obj in SU 8 PRO OK.

You are right but for the in-a-hurry Architect it does seem to fill a needed niche.
Quick and dirty to get up and running and a no brainer to setup and output.
Of course apps like your LightUP
will do more and better but are not always needed for the Client et all in the Design Development phase of a project.
Just a thought for the day.

Hi Solo
Walker has a plain or textured with shadows mode.
Skies and reflections as I remember.
Face me works too.
Not a 3dMax or equal render but for quick presentation pretty good.
You know better than most so do give it the Pro eval please.
Cheers
dtr
Hi Frederik
It was just an inside test and I tossed it.
Sorry.
Give it a shot and see.

FYI
Not a plugin but a stand alone that imports SU.
http://www.suplugins.com/pwbeta.php
10 minute smell test.
Imported a big messy file quickly and as built.
I ran a quick render and it recorded and saved as mp4 file without a fuss.
Pretty smooth animation too.
Just a beta but looks very promising.
