i mean no insult, i am enjoying the forum -
is it just me or is this site very slow between threads?
my browser works fine for most sites but it takes like a minute or so when i click 'new posts' or 'next page' (browser says "waiting for s3.buysellads.com" or something)
this cannot be standard - is there a way to optimise it?

sometimes (for me - usually) a corner is the best origin point - why do you want it to be in the centre?

if you can't scroll all that way (!) back and forth between monitors...... sounds like you need to use shortcuts!

dual screens is waaaaay better (for me) i do it just the way you mention - one clear screen with just model and everything else in the other. oh and i have a keyboard and mouse on my desk.

gresat renders - i think the entourage thing is true - maybe it is their unnatural positions that give them away. if i were the girls by the car, i'd be leaning on the planter.... the people on the balconies are posers! nobody minding their own business - eating lunch or whatever.

but still, very nice work. i am having rendering difficulties with v-ray - have you used the sketchup sun for these?

i'm interested in how you created the seat surface - not familiar with subdivide and smooth. did you extrude and intersect, followme or something more clever?

also i thought there was a plugin somewhere maybe called StrayLines that was a big help for this. MakeFaces is good for dwg imports too.

couldn't you select all the glass (right click in material palette) and hide it, then select the rest and set the material to default?
