YES optimaforever! That is exactly the problem I was talking about and your solution seems to have been working, so far at least.

I really hope Fredo that we don't come of as entitled, obviously you are giving us all these great tools (most of the times for free!) and we are off course not in a position to demand anything.

The problem, as optimaforever hinted, is that we, or at least I, rely so much on all your plugins that when they don't work is a huge issue, and that's why I immediately bought all your plugins the minute that I could, donated to you a little bit for all the others, and we are still FAR from even.

For that reason, I was just wondering if you are planning to make a paid version even just for the privilege of not having the plugins (especially LoTT!) disappear all of a sudden every once in a while.

      Thanks a lot again.

      Dear Fredo,

First of all many thanks for everything you are doing, I rely on your software and innovation more than on what the entire Trimble company does. For this exact reason I was wondering if there was the possibility to just buy LOTT as you made possible for other extensions of yours.

These continuous updates are a problem because every time you make a change I have to update all the machines straight away otherwise nothing works (this time, by the way, the plugin dos not seem to load every time). I would much rather pay to update the plugin when I am ready to do so.

      Thanks!

    • How to quickly confirm a grey value.

      Hi,

Is there a quick way of just confirming the position or size of a DC?

At the moment what I do is to click on the gray value, delete "cm" (the units, I work in metrics), move at the beginning of the cell, put an equal sign and Enter o Tab; a quick shortcut would save me A LOT of time.

      Thanks

Thank you Dave for taking the time to prepare a lengthy and detailed answer. I will consider all your points and see if I can adapt to what is available at the moment.

    • RE: SketchUp & Layout dimensions and notes

Sure, the file is very big, would a screenshot like this suffice?

      SketchUp view

The one above is what I can see in SketchUp, and this below is the corresponding scene in Layout:

      SketchUp view in Layout

Looking at it, I have to say, it is mostly the notations which position is relative only to the screen. But also the size of the dimensions is not correct.

      Thanks for your help.

    • SketchUp & Layout dimensions and notes

      Hi,

I am reasonably experienced with Sketchup but I recently started using Layout as well. What really drives me crazy is the fact that the potential is definitely there, but one crucial thing seems to be missing.

I do my dimensioning in Sketchup, because I mostly need to do it in perspective views and it seems to still be much quicker and easier in Sketchup. Layout would be great to show the model from different points of view in the same page, but the dimensions go all over the place and views are not consistent with what i see in SketchUp.

Wouldn't this be the point of Layout?! Am I missing something obvious!?

      Thanks,

      Nicola

    • Dynamic Component Absolute Coordinates

      Hi,

I am preparing a dynamic component in which an object has to be put in a position relative to another one that is nested inside a third one. It would not be an issue if I could just extract the absolute position of this component (and not his relative one, in respect to his parent). Would that be possible?

      Thanks a lot.

    • RE: WE NEED NEW PHOTO MATCH PLUGIN

I am surprised that in 2018 still we don't have something similar to what FormZ has (matching automatically by telling the software corresponding points in the model and on the picture).
