@Rich-O-Brien Sometimes SketchUp was crashing, sometimes SU Podium crashed, and sometimes windows crashed. Shop sorted the problem by changing the motherboard, they said that there was an incompatibility that they couldn't find. Since I've had it back it's had PodiumxRT go down once, but ShetchUp stayed running.

RE: Nvidia Card Causing System Freezes?
@Joe-Wood The shop solved my problem, changed the motherboard to a different type. Exactly what that fixed they could not say, just that there must have been an incompatibility somewhere.

SketchUp and DDR5 ram
Has anyone encountered any issues with SketchUp and DDR5 ram? I have a new build that has been crashing constantly: Intel i9 14900K, 32Gb DDR5 ram, Nvidia GeForce 4090 GPU. It does everything super fast including crashing while running SketchUp and particularly rendering in SU Podium, but also running animations.
The shop has changed all of the parts without any improvement, and recently had another DDR5 machine come in with similar issues.

RE: Nvidia Card Causing System Freezes?
Did you ever sort this issue? I have recently bought a new high spec i9 computer with a GeForce 4090 GPU. I took it back after a few days because it was constantly crashing and they haven't been able to isolate the issue after replacing cpu, gpu, motherboard and ram.
They've just had another similar build come back from a company working in geo engineering with similar issues, and they are now asking the question whether there might be an issue with SketchUp and DDR5 ram.
Is that something you looked at?

What version of SketchUp are you actually using? Your profile indicates a pre-2013 version. Is that true?
No, I'm on the current 2023 version. It seems that I haven't updated my profile in a while!

Sun Study - date, time, latitude and longitude
I've had a request for a sun study on a project for a government agency which I produced using an animation from my SketchUp model and geolocation. They have asked for evidence that the latitude, longitude, date and time of day are correct so I have had to make do with clumsy screenshots of the settings used to produce the animation.
What I would like to suggest is an option within the export animation settings to include a banner across the bottom of the animation showing the date, time, latitude and longitude. And anything else that other users find relevant and useful.

Entities copied to another Tag lose their faces
Hi, I have a situation where I am copying some entities from one Tag to a new Tag. The entities have colored faces in the first tag, when I copy them into the second tag they retain their colored faces only while the first tag is still visible. When I switch off the first tag the elements in the second tag have outlines only. The faces return to the second tag entities when I turn the first tag back on.
I've tried converting the entities to a component and the same thing happens.
Any clues as to what I have done to cause this or a work around?
SketchUp Pro 2022, W11, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10870H CPU @ 2.20GHz, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
Many thanks

Which graphics card?
I am about to have a new computer built for me, graphics card choice is either nVidia GeForce GTS450 or GeForce 9800 GT due to budget limitations.
The GTS450 is much newer and appears to be superior in most areas except for the Texture Fill Rate, 25.1 billion/sec for the GTS450 and 33.6 for the 9800. Is this a critical factor for SketchUp? My understanding is that the 9800 has always been a good card for SketchUp and I'm wondering if this is why?
TIA
