2 more NPRs,this time awith 2 different foregrounds.

The foreground element on the right of the original image(not shown here) i.e the mossy rocks were added after ,I had also added some foreground trees on the right but removed them after because I decided the sunburst needed to be a large part of the image.

This step by step is a very simple explanation of how I approach my final images - as I said the original photoshop file is close to 50 layers,some which dont appear fully(beleieve it or not there is grass behind the walls) and some which basically dont work,but I dont delete. as I may come back to this image later and try a new version.

An NPR of an old scheme(The Manor house images) rendered in Thea and post processed in Photoshop-quite a lot of post processing!The original raw render is also attached.

I would say,purely from a compostional viewpoint,the first view is better.it has more dynamic angles such as created by the paths, which guide us toward the entance.

Also, If you are going to have a large area of landscape at the front,such as your last image, then break it up - dont have blank areas at the front of the building.

A mountain side version and a further a-field night version

I came across a christmas themed render I did last year so I used the same christmas lights on this image.They were done in photoshop using multiple image references and blended using the screen mode which gives the bright light effect.

I wanted to try and get the golden hour light into these scenes, one with low evening sun. I did some colour toning to bring out the purples,blues and reds that contrast well with the overall golden orange colour.

Thanks for the comments guys.I have attached another photoshop watercolour with different colour tones than the last,plus some additional trees.But as with the last,I wanted to keep a lot of pure white in the image.

A peaceful night shot.I wanted to try and get the effect of the moonlight reflecting off the soft snow in the foreground.I added the lights to bring in warm colours to contrast with the blue.

An NPR image of a house I have previously uploaded.Here I have placed it beside a riverbank in snow.There are a lot of layers in the photoshop file based originally on a Thea render.

Chedda,It looks good but I would play with the colour tones to really bring out the building.You could also use some reflection, such as wet asphalt on the foreground road to really enhance the light.
You could also use use some foreground cars with good metalic reflection that would bounce and manipulate the light.

3 NPRs of a winter garden with the nightime shot being a photoshoped version of the daytime shot.With the daytime shots I wanted to add as much colour as possible to the shadows so there are a lot of overlaid colours in these areas.
