can you put other things in it besides jelly?

I've wandered in and out of the PushPull bar occasionally--(i think I still have an account with them) but I was raised to stay out of bars.

While we are reminiscing. . . i found SU in an ad in the back of a magazine i think back in 02. I needed a 3D program to help me with my rendering buisness. I was creating perspectives by hand or slogging with Autocad. SU and me found eachother. It was love at first site. I was smitten. . . hooked. . .this was the big LUV.

But then . .. the google took over our lives. Things just weren't progressing. SU wasnt growing and I was getting increasingly busy with other things. I started little flings with 3D Max. That didn't take. I came back She forgave me. All is good.

I don't do as much modeling as I would like. I have never gotten to the level of where you other folks have been able to achieve. Mostly cuz I don't have the time but SU will probably always be my one true love. But if Trimble would continue pushing the capabilities of this program. . .I wouldn't be opposed to that. I'm still waiting for visibility options for nested components. I asked for this at Basecamp 10. Oh well. . . .

p.s. I always chuckle that i have the moniker "top Sketchucator" next to my avatar, since I always feel like a noobie here. Thanks for all the help you have given me on this forum over the years.

This is the Hobby Version. Having fun with the light and material menus. Pretty cool. Does pretty much TL1 does and more. Will probably work for me. Gives me just another arrow in my quiver of hokey rendering.

Since you have other render apps available, I understand your point of view, however, since the price for a fully integrated render with SO many new features have a price tag below 100 USD, I - personally - don't find it strange that there isn't a discounted price...

If TWR got updated each year, it would make sense to have discounted prices for existing users, but I find it understandable that TWR v2 has a fixed price...

Oh . .I think it is a wonderful value. $100 ain't that big of a deal. . but it's a deal. AND since I do have the other apps, Including TL1, and since I do suck at all of them, I just wasn't' sure if I would get the bang for the buck with all of the extra features. I don't do that much of this stuff anyway, and it is mostly for puttering around.

i couldnt tell from the website. Is the upgrade form V1 $99 or is it discounted ? I read that recently purchased licenses get it for free. Since I have Thea and Podium as well, if TW is still $99 for me I might just go with the hobby version.

at least now I know why G'funkel was even there!

Greetings fellow citizens. . .I am looking for an old ruby tool that would bring up a menu that would draw a "filleted Post" or "Filleted Box" etc after entering the desired data into a menu box. Anyone remember this one? I had it at one time, but I don't remember what it's called or where I put it.

Can someone help me on this?

I think that whatever you guys decide to do on this. . .I am fully supportive. I haven't upgraded SU since V 8.

This SU community is soooo amazing and pretty much left me in the dust a long while back. You're doing spacecraft and sailing ships and awesome renders. I'm still struggling with components cutting holes.

I do however think I can be of great help in this endeavor.
