Vector normal to the plane seems to simply be the first 3 elements of the 4 that denote a plane. Thanks everyone. CB.

    • How to tell if a plane is horizontal

I know I'll say "duh" when someone tells me the answer, but I need to know if a plane (section_plane, actually) is horizontal.

      Here's where I found them:

But it doesn't show anything after 8M3 (5/23/2012).

Probably the result of dividing by "almost zero". Which in turn could result from a floating point roundoff error.

    • RE: Nvidea 560 ti

I've experimented with faster video cards, and it really doesn't make SU any faster. It might be because nvidia disables certain features in their "GeForce" "gaming" models. Their "CAD" models, which go under the "Quadro" brand use identical technology, but enable these features. I believe "Quadro" is Spanish for "costs four times as much for the same hardware". But I've never had a Quadro in my machine, so I can't give any first-hand advice.

    • RE: [Plugin] SceneExporter

I use this all the time. Thanks again Rick. By the way, SU8 seems to have fixed the problem that required a prompt between scenes. I can now save them all in one go without problems. CB.

    • Detect if SU was started with a template or a model

I want to execute a script (create a title block) if SU was started without a model loaded. Is there a way in ruby to detect that?

    • RE: One-liners

Sorry, but I don't speak a lick of Japanese. I can tell from the first two characters that this was addressed to me, but the rest is lost on me. As a professional timber framer, the Daiku are my heroes. We had a group come to one of our conferences, and the level of skill and craftsmanship was amazing.

And of course I was only trying to be clever with my first post. Nothing personal πŸ˜„

Got my hands on this pre-beta copy. Only runs on Ice Cream Sandwich. Here it is on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Uses the accelerometer to orbit and pan. Pinch to Zoom, etc. I think it's going to be great in the field, demos for client, etc.

It's like Autotune for cad! They can make you sound good, even if you can't sing.
If you are editing digital music, and you need to make the drum beats perfect, you can move the beats to the nearest sixteenth note, or whatever. It's call "quantizing".
