Nice program! I've tried it and was able to export a collada-file and import in SU without other converters...

If the intersections lead to very small edges and/or faces, you can try to scale the model (e.g. x1000) before the intersections...

This checkbox only controls the active section plane (if there are more than one) and not their visibility.

The visibility is controlled by the style dialog:

With the (commercial) "path select tool" you can double click one of the lines and the path will be selected...
