      Great shots btw.

      Got any hardware setup recommendations?
I'm Mac based. 2008 8 core 10Gb RAM. Is that enough for a landscape with loads of plants?

In regards to your rig, you are doing much better than me. Have you looked into a thomthom "clean up tool" http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=22920, that might help with some heavy landscaping.

Image 1) has 2mm space between the planks and it's 2mm deep.

Thanks hellnbak, you are right with everything you just have said. Yes, there is a little space at the foot of the bed and yes the livingroom looks cluttered but that's how it is (real life). The apartment is to size, the bed might not be (still have to verify), the tv cabinet in the living room might be too big and I still have to verify that too. I live in Poland at the present time. Europe in general is cluttered and it's only going to get more cluttered (I miss Canada and wide big open spaces).

Yes I did, it's 1cm. I think it's too much... I might try with 5mm or less for final.

    • It's where I live and work

Hi All, decided to model my apartment and present my design and visualization skills to a wide range of architects, designers and contractors as a beginning of my new career (let's hope). The apartment is about 55m2, facing south is a main bedroom. Kitchen and a 2nd bedroom facing north, bathroom and WC in the middle. Most furniuters and appliances are from the warehouse, which I later edit to fit the space. The wooden floor is my design (the spacing between each plank is a bit wider than I wanted).
This is still WIP and CC is welcome.
      cheers

    • RE: Vray crashing when trying to render large file

How long is your animation? I would divide this into shorter animations and later assemble in some movie software.
Remember there is 24 frames per second, if you have a 1 min. long animation it's 1440 images, at the end it all adds up.
      Hope this helps.

    • RE: Bathroom

Dude!!! It looks great, the lighting is really there, the only thing I do not like is the toilet (geoometry), it seems liek it's a bit off..., can't really tell because I can't see the model.
Is the lighting switched on?, on the fixtures by the mirror, or is it just me? if it's on, turn it off, should look better when switched off (is's sunny outside)
Can you share the wall texture, it's awesome πŸ˜‰

Thanks nomeradona for the explantion. What I have done was:

2)applied fresnel under BRDRFReflection - Reflection
3)hilight glossiness at 0.8 and reflection glossiness 0.85 (adjust to your likings)
      4)under Maps checked off Reflection
