[Help]- How do I drop a Object and make it flat on XY axis?

I created this object in topmod3d and imported it using obj importer. I need to align this shape to the xy axis as if it have fallen flat on the ground level. What do I do? Do I have to use SketchyPhysics? is that the only way?
Cheers

RE: Hardware recommendations
If you can wait, I'd get the i7 Core mobile CPU laptops coming out later half of this year. The multi-threading almost halves your rendering times. Worth the wait I'd say.
If not I recommend http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk you can build one with 512MB Nvidia 9600M GT graphics card for under £1000 pounds. I have one and the diffault setting makes sketchup lines look super SMOOTH! without anti-aliasing turned on! Incredable for presentations n walkthroughs.
I'd be honest with you PCSpecialist are not really the best quality as mine broke under a year (arguably not their fault as my GPU, the 8600M GT died and if you read internet forums this card is dying at a dispropotionate rate on all manufacturers laptops including Apple) but their service is incredable. They didn't ask any questions had it sent back and upgraded my chasis (Old Chasis had a 8600M GT which died) with new GPU all for free! Sent back to me in a week. So basically I got a free upgrade from them.
The 9600M GT gives amazing default display quality.

Guys,
I recently did a quick comparison between a 17" Dell Precision M6400 and the New 17" MacBook Pro cost wise. The following is how it panned out.
Dell Precision M6400 Covet Mobile Workstation
2.4 Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB,1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM
1920x1200 17in Back-Lit Display
200GB SATA Hard Drive
8X DVD+/-RW Drive Slot Load with Optical Media Included
512MB NVIDIA Quadro FX2700M€ 2,499
MacBook Pro 17"
2.66 Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
1920 x 1200 Glossy Widescreen Display
320GB Drive
SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 512MB
Built-in 8-hour battery
AppleCare Protection Plan for MacBook Pro (w/or w/o Display)€2,344
I also advise that more than likely the Dell would be worth €500ish after 2 years (id possible to sell) whereas the Mac could be worth in the region of €1,000 and probably a lot easier to sell to graphic / design students.
I think the demonstrates that Macs are not expensive when compared fairly.
Mike
Well as far as I know Quadro FX 2700M is WAY more expensive then a 9600M GT. Not really a fair comparison really.

Holy cow that is gorgeous! What did you render it in?

RE: Mac v Win
I recently just tried to clone my laptop HD with windows Vista so I can put a bigger drive in it. It turns out to be so much a pain in the ass that I ended just installing the new HD. On Mac it took SuperDuper something like 2 hours to clone the drive and I stuck it in and no sweat... Partitioning in Windows Vista is the same story. I really hope windows 7 sort things out.

RE: Anyone use SU7 on a MacBook (NOT Pro)?
My GF bought a Macbook Unibody and she has had a great time using Sketchp at work. Though not as fast as mine with 9600M GT (equivalent to the Macbook Pro Unibody) laptop. I'd say go for it. Be aware that some rubies apparently don't work.

RE: Mac v Win
I am a proud PC user that have dabbled with Macs in the past and went back to PC. This stuff makes me wish I hadn't.

RE: Garden collection
Solo thanks for the time n effort. This is definitely better than anything I found on 3D Warehouse. I just wish the conversion rate was better. Used to be £1 = $2 now its £1 = $1.3.

RE: SCF TWEAKTOOLS 1.0
Maybe it would be easier if there is a sub-Forum under Ruby for Toolbar development where this kind of things can be negotiated? Just a thought.

RE: Sketch objects and furnitures
Hey thats great! I have modelled up some furniture n stuff for work that I can't share right now. I'll have to wait for the project to finish. I wish there is a place for QUALITY SU model sharing. There is just so much crap on the 3D Wharehouse right now.
