RE: Looking for a line to pipe plugin
No not 3skeng either The toolbar had, as I said, three buttons, and each button had the image of a line in persepctive, with either a circle, a star or a square, at the end of that line. The purpose was to quickly create a shape along the line. Sorry if this doesn't make a lot of sense. The reason I want it now is because of the new solid modeling tools. I want to use the plugin to create boxes along the contours of the roof in my model, and then use those boxes to cut roof tiles that are going over the edge. I know creating the boxes can be done manually, but the plugin would be a time saver.

Thanks Charly,
I remember stumbling across PipeAlongPath before and I will enjoy using it again. But unfortunatly none of your three excellent links is the plugin i was thinking of. -
Looking for a line to pipe plugin
Hi,
I'm looking for a plugin that I once had but now can't find. I seem to remember that the plugin added a toolbar with three icons. It turned lines into tubes, but you could specify the number of edges of your tube, so one could make a "box tube" with four only sides. I've searched the forums and google but to no avail. Thanks

Randomizing components
Is it possible to make a dynamic component (or maybe a ruby script) that randomly changes between a number of predefined shapes when I make copies of it. For instance I could have 5 different kinds of trees baked into the same component, and when when I make 20 copies of this component I would like each of them to randomly assign one of the tree-shapes from 1-5. This would be awfully handy.
Thanks.

Export by layer script request
Hello fellow sketchers,
I have a request for a script that can help me exporting the model for rendering in another application. I often have a big model file organized in layers, and I want to export each layer to a seperate 3ds of obj file.I might have layers named Floor 1 Windows, Floor 1 Doors, Floor 1 Furniture etc. and exporting each layer separatly is always a pain and time consuming. If someone could automate this process IΒ΄d be eternally grateful!
