RE: Subsea Animation
Well I'll be...
... still a newbie. THANKS!
I'll post the update here later this evening!
Now where that's "embarrased" emoticon when I need it?

Hi Bryan,
This fog effect is very cool!
To me, however, the too thick profile lines were too much though. IMO set to 1 pixel (so that at least curved surfaces have outlines, too) could make it even better.
Me too. I don't have the pro version so I can't change line thickness.
However... I'm taking a stab at this with "no line" and the preliminaries are looking good. I'll post results tomorrow.
Thanks.

Thanx dude, it was pretty easy to learn.
I will try to watch some youtube videos now.
That's what I did.
The others are right. It's easy to get started, but once you go through the tutorials, it's dangerously addictive.
Here's one that helped me with work flow: http://www.martinrinehart.com/models/tutorial/tutorial_toc.html
It's good, but there are one or two flaws later in the lesson in some of the Ruby code coordinates. Take your time and you'll see the mistakes. But overall, a great tutorial.

WIP Guitar WIP. Not Complete.
Looks okay to me. How about some other views?
That's one thing I like about SketchUp. When I go to model something, I end up learning a LOT more about my subject than I actually thought I knew.

RE: [WIP] 1: Renovation of an oldfashioned corridor
Whoa. You are indeed a professional designer.
Very well done! The shelving is brilliant and the "jump seat" nooks are incredible. The mirrors and new lighting really add the finishing touches.

RE: Looking for comments on a house
While far better than what I can do at this time, it does look kind of flat.
I looked at the tutorial you linked to as the example and maybe the problem is that is uses an indoor scene instead of an outdoor scene.
Have you tried using any standard presets that come with the program. (if they come with the program? I am not familiar with it)

RE: 2-storey modern asian interior (wip)
The new lights and rug, in addition to the liqueur bottles and reverse view of the mirror are phenomenal.

RE: .another quick house.
Wow. Very nice as usual.
6 hours? Phew! That's incredible.

RE: [WIP] 1: Renovation of an oldfashioned corridor
Looking forward to it. Nice "before" renders.
That hallway reminds me of the famous Oscar Wilde quote: "Either that wallpaper goes or I do."
