Then I think you have missed the point of my question.
Exporting an image or even a model from sketchup uses the camera view settings. So effectively what you see is what you get. (wysiwyg) Hence my question, are you using a standard view and parallel projection.

In your case it needs to be standard view top and parallel projection. This aligns the geometry you are exporting with the view that it will export. If you are not looking straight down on it it will not be the correct size.
So all I did was set your model to Standard View Top and Parallel Projection and then export the dwg which you found to be accurate.

Yes, I did completely miss the whole point of reality and of course parallel projection. A complete and utter brain fart, I am embarrassed to say. Thank you for your patience and help, but again total total user error. I feel so stupid.

I am using 2D export default settings and have tried Autocad 18, 13 release 14 and 12 and still get erroneous results in the dwg. I tried the 3d export too and still get errors.

I have tried a fresh file and just drawn some rectangles to test it out, and all works fine, so it's local to just this file.

I have used the unwrap and flatten faces plugin on this file and wondered if a plugin could affect the output in this way.

I have a real issue here. I have sent my exported DWG from Sketchup to a consultant to work on. He has come back to me with drawings that are completely dimensionally wrong. At first, I could not understand this until I checked the SKP export in Autodesk DWG Trueviewer 2022 that I had done. Can someone please confirm my findings from the attached files.

I have contacted support on this matter but would appreciate knowing if anyone else can see the issue.

I am designing a multi-panel clad corten steel flat box type dormer. The manufacturer needs a flat development of each panel surface to be able to laser cut from a flat sheet. I have more than 100 panels to do, and I was wondering if there is a up-to-date plugin that would help out in the process.

I have tried Flattery, but I can not get it to work without Sketchup freezing, so I assume it has not been updated for the 2022 version. Are there any other similar plugins available?

Not sure if these have already been suggested.

1. I find myself looking at the entity info tag and then trying to find the same tag in the tag list to switch it on or off. If the tag could be highlighted corresponding to the selected group component or entity this would be a massive help as a time saver.

2. Could we colour code tags in the tag list for easy identification, similar to tag grouping but easier.

or can someone let me know of a plugin that does this?

I have all SKP file associated with Sketchup Viewer. As I have so many iterations of the same file for different designs, I find it so much quicker to load up in Sketchup viewer and find the correct file. Then once found just right click on the file and click on 'open with Sketchup 2018'.

I think something is amiss here.

So for me, London would the best option, not sure how to change this setting, or even if this will correct the issue I am seeing. very odd!

EDIT
ok! I see now! You have to add a geolocation map to the file to reset the shadow settings. Once done it seems to correct the issue I was seeing.
