I thought I would go through my method for window schedules using components, excel and tables and see if anyone has any tips to streamline the process. The method is similar to the one previously mentioned, however it uses the new table referencing in SU 2017. Build windows as components and place where you want them in the building. Create copy of component windows and place them (nicely lined up) somewhere else in your model. Create scene. Tip: Be sure to place them where they will not obscure other scenes. Tip: You can use a section line to cut out an area of the model in certain scenes. I have done this before when my copy of components was in the way of my elevations of the main building. Add dimensions and information into PHPP (This example was a passive house). Reference cells from PHPP spreadsheet into window schedule spreadsheet. Insert window schedule spreadsheet into LO drawing. (Make auto update as it takes no time to render). Insert SU model and select scene where you set up window copy components.

[image: cPEU_solarnorthissue.jpg]So I am having a problem that seems to not be related to magnetic declination but decided to post in this thread since it seems like there are many here that have looked at this particular tool. I have pro 2013 and have successfully loaded the toolbar and it seems to work though I have not tried all of the functionality yet. I do not want to change the default settings untill I understand something, hopefully developers are watching this thread. I have imported a scene from google maps and with it the geolocation of the project (prior to installing the north angle toolbar). On google maps north is always straight up. When I use the north arrow to display the north angle it is around 27 deg off. This could not be the magnetic declination difference since it is only 8.8deg for this area. How does the default north arrow calculate the default position if not from the geolocation? I have moved the default axis many times while modeling, could this have caused the confusion? Is there a way to get the north arrow to snap back to the geolocation? see attached

Bob, Welcome Try reducing in .25 increments (SU model) Line Wts, untill you are somewhat satisfied. EX; 1.0......then 0.75..........then 0.50 I find there are no hard and fast rules here, because of paper size...scale...etc. Shape Style tab has a line wt setting as well. EDIT: Wooops...Almost forgot, You will need to "trick" LO to get the line Shape Style to accept a decimal. As Follows...Draw shape......Select Shape.....Select 0.5 from the dropdown....triple click to the right of the decimal....enter desired # Best, Charlie [image: iTOU_SP08-SU.jpg]
