I like the music, and the video of course.

RE: [Plugin] Polyreducer 0.1
awesome plug-in. very useful for building physical models of more organic forms(using the triangles as stencils)

RE: [Plugin] Zorro2 (beta)
AWESOME PLUGIN. Especially when used with section cut plane...
Before I would have to explode all geometry and create a plane... then intersect with model, then erase everything I didn't need. On complex models this would take too long so I gave up. Now it took a minute at most on that same model.
Thank you!

RE: [Obsolete] FredoScale 1.0e (Free Scaling, Taper Scaling)
This is so useful. Thank you very much for your efforts. AWESOME!!!

RE: Tri-Library
I agree with everything that you said. The interior does not have the correct fixtures and furniture; they are generic... (didn't have time to focus) I mostly worked on the massing and how it relates to the site. The site has three streets that intersect each other and form an island in the shape of a triangle right in front of the library. I wanted to use this geometry and express it in my library. The front facade has a more subtle movement, while the rear facade is more extravagant. (3rd image is rear façade) The entire library is divided into 3 parts and the middle there is an opened atrium and a outside space (which has a reflective pool of water at the bottom of it). I'll post floor plans and sections and elevations.
@DacaD
The decorative screens connect the front façade with the rear façade. The screen in the front is never filled with perforated sheet metal, while for the rear façade the screen is randomly filled with this perforated sheet metal. However, I really like the idea of how the screen could influence the interior. If the interior would have been more developed, then the screen would be filled accordingly to what function occurs in that space.
I used Kerkythea for rendering.@kwick7
Yep… I could have used clips of real people…@all
Thank you very much for the constructive comments. I am a beginner, at designing (second yr) and this is my second project where I had to design such a building.
Again Thanks. -
Tri-Library
This project is not as finished as I would like it to be. However, I presented it and now want to move on. (still... I would appreciate all comments about renderings and design)
The site is located in Chicago, IL at the intersection of Milwaukee Ave. and Chicago Ave. This is my take on the design of a 21st Century library that could be built on this site.

RE: Google Sketchup Pro 7 is out
About handeling more gometry... I doubt it... it is as slow as SU6, when I tried a heavy scene

RE: The White Store (WIP)
the material for the glass in fron of the reception look weird. Probably it's not the same frosted galss that you see behind it. It's much "greener" tan the rest of the glass used in the scene... also, may I ask what render engine you are using?

RE: Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Waiting Room
This is very inspiring. I really like this hybrid outcome. Thanks for the little "how to" explanation.

RE: V-Ray or Maxwell?
I was wondering about this comparison as well. THank you for the responses

RE: Concrete Pavilion
Thank you for the complements.
Yes, that is kerky thea. Most of the renders needed to be rendered quik (deadlines...)so I used High photon map settings with hight fuzzy tracing and high soft shadow quality. For the two inserior renderngs, I used MLT (they kind of look better).

RE: Concrete Pavilion
to Dabiel: No I didn't. Tha would be interesting... I did render pictures at different times of the day though. However, I am finished with that project. My efforts now go to my current project that I am working on
to Anssi: Thanks for the construvtive comments... I kind of like the wide angle shots...but I agree on the point with the harsh lighting. Also the grass definitely needs post pro or better texture.
again Thanks

RE: "Video Photomatch" in Sketchup
Here's another video using a library model (using the same background video). This one is not as realistic, but it is interesting.

Concrete Pavilion
This is a very recent project that I just finished for my arch studio class. I also rendered a video, which is not so bad...
I wanted to create different spaces with varying lighting effects (only sunlight).

RE: WIP Car Concept
I know that it lacks shadows... I still have to figure out how to put them in...
Thanks for the tips and complements

RE: "Video Photomatch" in Sketchup
I'm not going to go in depth with this video tutorial, because don't think that this is the best solution to achieve the results... (Unless somebody really wants an in depth tut...) I am going to try to find a more simple path to achieve this with better results.
In the video tutorial I used a SketchUp model that I made, and a video of my small home office/studio
Here is a picture of the sketchup model
