Depending on what you want to do, you could look at TIG's 2D Tools plugin but there are some restrictions on how you use it.

sure it depends on what I need to do... It was a 2D drawing for clarity. Well, I know that SU isn't primarily focused on that. It's about understanding and acceptance of philosophy.
thanks for all the responses guys

    • Different line thickness in SketchUp

A kind of Stroke in Illustrator
Can it be achieved or that there is not?
Or does it relate to Styles?

    • RE: Freeze or inactivate layer_SU2016

      yes Dave,
maybe is it a misunderstanding of the principle of layering in the SU, which is different from Autocad. But I want to clarify these some details how it can work efficiently former user AC:
I need to lock up and still see the underlying drawing, which imports and then no more to edit. I cannot find anywhere how to do the procedure, even though it is perhaps a trifle.
Or, how to lock jpg map if doesn't exist this option in entity info palette? Make a group? As an only one object it can be too a group?
      see attachment

As a skilled user u may know the answer to next question:
There are many books for SU, but not all are applicable to the architects. Not only general tutorials how to work with SU, but by approach and thinking how to work from start to final project.

      Thanks for your understanding rookie.
      best regards from Prague

    • Freeze or inactivate layer_SU2016

Something like Freeze or Lock Layer does exist in SketchupPro2016? Not only Visible or Hide? Or how to organize what I don't need to work with, but need to see, inactive? It is quite confusing to work without this possibility.
      thx for any advice

    • RE: How to remove tessellation in external renderer

I chose this model as an example.
I was thinking of tessellation general setting, as in any other 3d modeler. Or it can not be controlled with SU?

    • How to remove tessellation in external renderer

After you import SKP files into rendering program (KeyShot) I see resulting image with visible edges of the triangular cross-linking. It can be set in Sketchup surface without these transitions?
