Gaieus, your writen English is one hell off a lot better than mine and it is my only language! You are doing a bloody good job mate. (Thats Kiwi English).
Cheers and Beers, Bill.
Did you make a BooBoo Jenu? Don't worry I understand what you meant and in future I'll try it out as I have the same problem with the free version. Does it work the same in the southern hemisphere where the sun is in the north and the cold wind comes from the south?
Cheers, Bill.
Good morning all I just staggered in and found you all here and I hope there is plenty of beer left as I have a thirst. All that white space makes the forum look very uncrowded so if one wishes one can find a bit of space to gather thoughts in.
Whos round is it? I left my purse at home
Cheers, Bill.
Very good Gaieus, I went inside and had a look around. It took quite a while lo load on my very slow dialup conection and was much slower to respond than it would have in SketchUp but I dare say it would be very good on Broadband. Can't get broadband here yet, something to do with the distance from the telephone exchange I've been informed. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Bill.
Thank you very much for that Extremely educational model! Jackson. I have worked on a Chaff Cutter that was powed by a Steam Traction Engine and have also been in a Sawmill powered by a Statonary Steam Engine, which looked like a Traction Engine sans wheels. The mill is still working in Southland, about 150Km from here and is still paying its way and feeding itself off the waste timber. You obviosly know afair bit about steam engines by the detail that you have put into the model and at last I can show my Grandkids how a steam engine works in a way that they will have fun while learning, after all learning should be fun. I am a bit worried about the axel wearing though as I can't see any oilers or grease pots on the bearings.
(I had to put that in to show that I was observant :egrin: )
Can you build any machinery for it to drive? It would be fantastic to be able to couple different machines to her. What is her name? An engine that has been built with such loving care must have a name. I'm looking forward in anticipation to any more working models you may construct. I think that using SketchyPhysics to build 'real life machinery is a very good use for the plugin and that Chris will be proud to see his script being put to such good use.
Please keep up the good work Jackson.
Cheers Bill.
PS. My brand new grandson has been given Jackson as his first name.
The su2kt exporter should work with the free version of SU as well as the pro.
Yes, it does I'm using both and having one hell of a lot of fun while I'm at it SU and KT are both mavelous programs for us peasants who cannot afford the pro versions. At the rate I'm learning both programs, with the help of you wonderful Guys and Gals, I may be able to hang out my shingle one day and get employment with a builder or architect and then I'll be able to afford the 'real thing' and update the computers as well.
Luv you all,
Bill
I'm here again. It's the ActiveX thingy that's taking all the time. 200 mins and still counting up! I'll leave it running and go to bed with the covers pulled up. If my connection doesn't throw out I should have something to look at later. Thank you Gaieus and good night from snowy and cold NZ. C'mon summer
Cheers Bill
I'll go back and have another crack at it, it's 1:50AM here and maybe I did something wrong. Then I'll go to bed.
Cheers Bill.
PS It's about to snow here, what happened to Global Warming?

I went to have a look Gaieus but it insisted that I download the program to view. I started downloading and realised that it was going to take over 3 hours I'm on dialup here, can't get Broadband, a problem that most of rural New Zealand suffers from, why did that silly Government of ours sell all the Telecomunications to those bl**dy Yanks?
But not to worry, it's another day tomorrow
Keep up the good work, I love your posts and this Forum Rocks!
Regards Bill.
That is some building Gaieus. There must have been some real up with it architects 'way back then. Is any of it still standing and could you tell us how tall the original was? Great render too, the wet and dry gravel looks very real.
Cheers, Bill
