Todd, There is a lot about colors in the hash but, alas, nothing about font attributes.

Move the .rb file from where you saved it to the Plugins folder under SketchUp. Before doing so, be sure you have full administrative rights to the Plugins folder. restart Sketchup after pasting the rb file into the Plugins folder.

I don't have access to v7 right now - it's safest to upload v6 or lower... To form volumes the slices need to make edges that form a loop that can face. If you have a box with an open top it will slice in the Z because each cut takes in 4 sides and makes a loop that forms a face. If the slices are done on another axis then you'll only cut through 3 sides and these 3 edges don't make a loop and therefore won't face, and therefore don't make a sliceable volume. To fix it give the box a'lid' and it'll then slice OK on any axis. .

neng83, thnx for the example but i want to do it with a ruby script. i found a short example that suggests to draw a polygon, add it to a group, draw the rectangular hole, add it to the same group, execute the erase_enties command on the group with the hole and then explode the group. that seems to work! that also works if you want to make more than 1 hole in a polygon.
