    • RE: Download multiple components from warehouse all at once?

      @dave r said:

I don't believe so. As I recall it was once possible but now the Warehouse is set up to prevent bulk downloading of components because aggregators tend to collect components and then sell them on their own sites which is a violation of the TOS. I believe that there is also a daily limit to the number of components you can download from the Warehouse if you are not a SketchUp Pro user, too.

Please complete your profile with SketchUp version, license type, and operating system. That information helps us help you.

      I updated my profile 😄

I'm talking about my OWN components. Batch download selected components in my own projects... wish there was some solution 😞

    • Download multiple components from warehouse all at once?

Hi everyone! I'm looking around to find a solution. Is there any extension that would allow me to download multiple components from the trimble warehouse all at once?
There located in a private folder in my account. That would save me many many clicks.

      Thanks!

    • Vray 2.0 DR with IES lights problem - sketch up 2014

      Hi everyone!
I'm pretty new at using distributed rendering in Sketchup.

I'm working at office with a server that every computer has access to. I have a scene mostly lighted with IES lights (wich are all located on that server) and I have nothing on my computer, all my textures are on that server. No problem for the textures.
Here is the path for textures : "Z:/Sketchup/Vray/Images/Finis intérieurs/Tuiles/XXX.jpg" and path for lights : "Z:/Sketchup/Lights/xxxx.ies"

I have saved my light cache and irriadiance map files and all machines can access it - no problem.

My scene looks fine when I render on my machine. (See attached)
My problem occurs when distribution rendering is on
When I use both local machine and slaves machines, brighter spots appears where my computer has rendered. Where the slaves machine rendered there is no IES lights. (something like this (http://vray.info/tutorials/vray_distributed_rendering_and_backburner/assets/drbackburner_17.jpg)
When I render only the slaves machine there is no ied lights either. (See attached)

But I used the same type of path for all the files in the scene. What am i doing wrong here??

      Please help fast!!

      Thank you, Amelie

    • Scene far from light source. How to light up?

Ok so here is my problem. I have a scene that the window is very far from. When my exposure of the window is fine, the rest of the scene is too dark.
I read about Linear Workflow (http://www.jamesshaw.co.nz/blog/?p=152) but it's already checked under the color mapping tab.

So i'd like to know which parameter i need to change in order to don't have overexposed window but still have a bright scene!! Help me please! Here are my actual settings.

    • RE: Batch rendering?

I followed your steps and it saved with the name and the location i adressed! I saw all the scenes change one by one, the VR frame buffer appeared, i went to sleep. The next morning : I found like 4 exact scenes and another one (the same scene!) rendering in VRFB!!

vray kept rendering the same scene over and over!

❗ ❗ Is there any solution to this problem??

    • RE: Weird bling bling reflections!

Ok I finally found the answer!! It wasn't my lights of any of the reflections as i thought. In fact (Dear god thank you Nomer!!!!) it was the DMC Sampler paramater to set Adaptive @0.85, and Noise sampler @0.005 that solved the problem. So for anyone who has sparkling lights/bling bling lights/Splotches, Nomer has the answer! Love this guy! 👍 http://sketchupvrayresources.blogspot.ca/2011/07/trick-removing-splotches-in-vray.html

    • RE: Weird bling bling reflections!

      Ok so

      • the reflections over the TV are a little bit low? What do you mean?
      • can't imagine which ceiling light belongs to which shadows of the couch? As it's a day scene, i don't want to have this effect. Does it looks weird?
      • if it would come from the shelf, why is it on the wall near the clock? I don't know... I think it may be my IES light that has a bright spot see below
      • why does the shadow of the clock looks like it comes from a light source on the ground? There is a light on top of the clock
        So,
      • are there lights which we can't see? Yes only one
      • do you have a detail of one light source? Yes see below

    • RE: HDRI Envrionnement TOO BIG and GREYISH

Ok so for everyone having the same problem, This is my solution.
Forget the hdri in the envrionment slot ans make a huge circle around your model, apply the texture on it and uncheck the "Cast Shadows" option in your material. That's it. Will work when the HDRI don't work for i know what reason.

    • HDRI Envrionnement TOO BIG and GREYISH

      Hi Everyone!
I'm following this tutorial for the lighting of my scene with an HDRI applied in the background. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3-TxEzW4sQ

My question is the following : Why does my picture is always too big?? Which size is the better? And the picture is some kind of grey in the rendering but the picture itself is very sharp and bright... Help me please!!

    • No render when caustics are on

      Hi everyone,

I'm having a recent problem with a new file... Vray doesn't render when caustics are on. I hear my computer running pretty hard but the Vray Frame Buffer stays black for hours (yes... I gave up after an hour for a 640px picture) When I check them off, I got an image... Any suggestions?
