I'm on page 12 of what could be a 20-page presentation. Just spent some time reviewing it and was wondering if it would look better on larger paper. I'm using my own custom templates and I do have an 11x17" template handy.
Is there a way I can create a new file (File 2) in Layout, and somehow import/copy the contents of File 1? There's no way I'm dimensioning and labeling all these 12 pages again. Also, I cannot use a smaller scale on my current presentation. (Student; working on massive assignment; deadline looming). Thank you!

RE: Change edge style of component
Gai and Dave - it was painstaking trying to change the edges (instead of the brick face) but I did it.
It works. Thank you! -
Change edge style of component
Is there a way to change the edge style (I'd like grey lines, not black) in a component or group without changing the edge style of the entire model?
I drew a brick wall, using 2 bricks as components, and building them up to form a wall. Now there is ONE row I'd like to grey out, but not having much luck.
Here's what I've tried so far:
- Recreated brick as a separate file, changing edge style under "Styles". Looked great. Saved it, copied it over to my wall. All edges turned black. Obviously the Styles setting in my Wall drawing, overrides the style setting of the lone brick in the "Grey Brick" file.
- In Wall file, I created a unique component of one brick. Decided to "Soften Edges". But when I dragged clicker to 90 degrees, the edge lines disappeared altogether.
- Any attempt to change the edge style in the Styles setting, is doing a global change instead of on just one brick.
Thought this would take 5 minutes.
I've hit a brick wall!

RE: New to Layout/problem with Views
I think that's it! I had made a custom template and several elements were "off". Just went in and did some cleanup...still working on that with the page numbers. My inserted images were definitely on the "Every Page" layer instead of "Default." Now it's working like it should. Thank you!

New to Layout/problem with Views
Just upgraded to Pro version 2 weeks ago and have been doing tutorials. I think I have a very simple problem, but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Created a model of piece of furniture in Sketchup. Saved five scenes, then clicked File/Send to Layout. Wonderful. Perspective view now in Layout.
In creating subsequent pages however, the same view keeps showing up.
Here's what I'm doing: In Layout I'm creating new page (plus sign in pages tray). Perspective view from 'Inside Page' shows up. I'm on the newly created page, right click my model, select "Scenes", click on "Plan View".
Instead of just that one page changing, all other pages now change to the new view.
What step am I missing? (Getting elbow and forearm pain, so need to cut down on experimenting:)
