This is exactly what I've been looking for for sooooo long! Thank you for this great release. The only thing I'm missing is perpendicular snapping. But that must be because I haven't found out how to activate it yet, right???

RE: Will "Change" really happen starting Tuesday?
@solo said:
In regard to dingbat Bush not being there with his mob administration... yes that alone is a good change.
In regards to Obama being the messiah and performing miracles from day one as the media is painting... no, change will take time, money, and Americans making sacrifices and personal changes in their wastefull and gluttonous lifestyles.I'm not at all saying that this is a newly discovered truth for you, solo. In fact I´m pretty sure it isn't.
But if "most" americans have already become as aware as you, then Obama has almost done half of his work before his first day on the job!Big things comes from big ideas, and eventhough he isn't a messiah, I dig his style!

"the SU7 google toolbar"
Hi Guys
I'm a pixelhog, so I want as many pixels on the screen as possible.
People with my "symptoms" like Jim custom toolbar plugin - so thanks!I can't seem to disable the new sketchup 7's"google toolbar" at the bottom of the screen, giving credits to the modellers and the measurement box, which can now be moved freely.
Has anyone tried the same and found out if it really is impossible? -
RE: [Request]: RotateByCenterpoint.rb
I get that it would be a nice tool, but until then, maybe you could draw a construction point from the edge of the dome to the center, and then draw a construction point from the center and about a 100m down, so you'll always be able to find it, and use it for rotating the dome?

RE: Smokin Grass!
Cool, Brodie. I think I'll give it a shot. I just spent a few pounds on the grass textures from ambient light. They have a 50% discount on all their products at the moment, and they have quite a few brilliant textures! "wink" "wink"
@solo
...i've seen some of your results with vue, and it made me take a closer look.
After watching the breathtaking feature demonstration videos a read quite a few reviews.
Quite a few of them reported about crashes. What are your experiences with vues stability? And how can you use it in your sketchup workflow? I hope I'm not hijacking the thread, but if that's the case I'll start a proper thread, 'cause I'm really interested in hearing about Vue. -
RE: Smokin Grass!
...that's a pretty good result brodie. Is the the grass very dependent on the viewpoint?
Most of the times I only need my grass to look good from a mid-range viewpoint, but every now and then I like to pick my views from almost insect height, and then I need another grass texture.And I'm not very happy with the results of using a high-grass clip map.@richard
Did you create those fantastic grass textures in photoshop, or are the from a texture pack? I think some of your first result with minimal tiling a great! -

ViaCAD 2D/3D f. OSX/Win incl. SU import (list price ~100U$): http://www.punchcad.com/
Do you have any personal experience with Viacad? I'm considering ViaCAD 2D as one of the few affordable CAD packages.
For now I've been able to get by with ProgeCAD Smart (FREE Autocad clone), but it's only for personal use and need a good CAD package for commercial use. -
RE: What's up with the Indigo forum?
...does anybody have one of the latest versions of indigo and skindigo? And if so, would it be okay to post it here or send it to me?
I started an internship, and I'm tutoring another guy who wants to learn indigo and skindigo.
As you all know I'm not able to download it from the indigo site at the moment.
The different tutorials and lighting components would also be great....on a side note - i finally got a chance o work more with skindigo (v.0.0.9), and everyday I'm amazed by the tight sketchup integration you programmed whaat!
My friend is seeing the potential as well. Even though he obviously isn't used to the render times of unbiased renders
