Rayscaper 0.9.94 not working

Hey everyone,

I’m investigating reports that Rayscaper 0.9.94 Beta does not launch for some users. This does not seem limited to one SketchUp
version, so reports from SketchUp 2024, 2025, and 2026 are all useful.

If you are affected, could you please reply with a few details?

1. Which SketchUp version are you using?
2. Which Windows version are you using?
3. Was Rayscaper 0.9.94 a fresh install, or did you upgrade from an earlier version?
4. If you upgraded, which version did you upgrade from?
5. How did you install or upgrade Rayscaper?
   • SketchUcation ExtensionStore
   • Manual RBZ install
6. Does Rayscaper appear in the Extensions menu?
7. What happens when you click Extensions > Rayscaper > Start Render?
   • Nothing happens
   • An error appears
   • The render window opens and closes
   • SketchUp crashes
   • Something else
8. Did Rayscaper 0.9.93 work on the same machine before upgrading?

Please also mention if uninstalling and reinstalling changed anything.

Casting a wide net here because I'm having trouble reproducing it on my own machine.

Well, since installing .94 the (Rayscaper) application will not open or respond in any way. I also cannot create groups or components in Sketchup 2026 by the methods I know.
Installing in Sketchup 2024, as opposed to Sketchup 2026 demonstrate none of these issues so I am working on the premise that Sketchup 2026 is the culprit. I am still finding lots of onedrive 'bits' everywhere so possibly part of the problem I have zero doubt that Rayscaper is clear in this.
It is after all a day with a 'why the hell not' in it.
I have gone through the repair process with the offline version of the Sketchup (2026) installer as recommended.

Well, started using Sketchup 2024 with new locations without onedrive and it falls over, a LOT. Onedrive IS the culprit still and I cannot do a thing anywhere even firefox and enid the microsnot browser fall over lagging and crying enuffski. Microsnot want a war do they?

I had to restart the pc because it runs for a while then starts to slow and lockup.

Loving this new responsible microsnot stuff, leaving us to run our pc's without embugerence........... No mizz smell checker I do NOT mean that.

I'd recommend repairing your Windows install. Sound like you have a real mess on your hands to be honest.

I use a tool called WinUtil to debloat Windows after installation to remove all the crud it adds.

But that's not really related to this thread.
