What is the setup for the window glass? Is it thickened? Two planes?

Half inch glass pane with 10% opacity. Works elsewhere.

I reduced the hdri to 0.01%.

The pan and splatt effect is back.

OK HDRI only light source outside the model, painted on to a surface half the building height as a scaling mechanism. HDRI set to 0.80.

You mentioned that auto-exposure is doing funky things? Is the image below using auto-exposure? If so, what does it look like without auto-exposure?

For the window glass, make sure you are using the glass material with thin & transparent shadows:

OK, I have noticed we have different material presets available, you have a lot more than I and help, about. suggests I am using 0.9.92'
