Beautiful door to model

For better or worse… downloaded a few images of this door. Started on a model. If I can get it figured out. Plan is to post it up for whoever wants to give it a spin in a render.

- I started to do it, would not say I failed totally, but it was harder that I thought. I need to go back and basically do it again

@L-i-am Don’t be discouraged. Started mine today. It’s quite the challenge. Hard to make out all the details in places. Think it’s going to take me a while.

Oof....blockout done but my head hurts trying to keep it clean quads.

Just curious, what tools/plugins (if any) did you use to draw this?
I was thinking about trying this myself. I was thinking about putting the image as a background and then drawing on top of it.

You answered your own question with how you intend to do it.
I just traced the image and used Vertex Tools 2 here and there.
It’s still pretty rough so I’ll just see where it goes.

Hi Guys, I decided to do the door, it is hellish I did the stained glass in Autocad by Autode$ it too many hoursand many more hours just to kix the planars.. If anyone has a godd sandstone texture you could pass on it would be appreciated. I am doing the sandstone as geometry block by block

It was only an experiment so I only bothered going this far with it.

well I have been working on the door for 3 days ( I know how that silly that may sounds) on the door model I thought it would not be an easy model to do but i have considered putting an end to it on a number of occasions. Now through me own fault I have mixed up my models accidently so the windows now are the wrong size. Thank god for intersect pages

I am going to lay this to bed for a while. The model has got a bit dirty, if not perhaps filthy, and exhausting. The image is just a screen shot

@L-i-am Well you got further along than I did. Put mine on the shelf also. It was starting to hurt my brain. I’m sure I’ll circle back to mine at some point also.
