Where do you get your blueprints?
-
Looking awesome, can you show mesh with lines and how you achieved the organic hull shape?
-
Agree with solo. Would love to see the mesh and what your workflow is.

This is the most difficult part of the process! especially with modern ships where the hull shape is a close guarded secret between companies, in this case a friend of mine knew an office aboard this vessel that had access to the shipyards plans

Ive done things slightly differently here, I drew the lines from the plan and then chose how much detail I wanted for the mesh by drawing the hull point by point manually, usually I just draw the ribs and use curviloft to join them, or if I want clean topolgy I would draw a subdiv mesh in blender, but this usually ends with far to high poly

Looks very good thus far mate.
-
Thanks, currently focusing on her cargo holds for now, will be completing the hull details as soon as everything is snug and located
-
Her Liebherr Fcc 280 45t cranes are in, they are just blocked out at the moment, they will still be getting plenty details, along with some hydraulic lines. Her macgregor stackable hatches are on, hatch guides and bearing pads are in along with the cell guides. Container foundations are marked and spreader supports are on, cleats will come next along with coaming stays, once im happy with her cargo deck gear ill move on to the rest of the hull

More decals added, these might look tiny but they are to scale, and my attempt at the prop
-
Really looking good.
-
Another beauty!
-
You make exceedingly fine ships mate.

I personal enjoy the updates. Stunning progress in so short a time!

Pretty cool. I can smell the creosote and salt air from here.
-
Thanks! I wish I was doing this full time! then I could go at a much quicker pace
Focusing on the superstructure for now to get it balanced with the rest before moving on to the last final detail pass
-
Bridge blockout complete, and some railings ,theres way more to do on this bridge then on Panther! this should be fun, currently on 30K polys
