      Hello,

I've modeled a stone block, found attached, using Artisan. There are three ways I tried texturing, not quite successful:

      • Using the paint brush function of Artisan
      • UV placement from V-Ray
      • ThruPaint from Fredo

I've attached screenshots from each method, to show what happens.

I also tried SketchUV, but that seems to do nothing at all!

What would be the best way of texturing the model?

It would be best to UV unwrap it....

In this instance I used Wrap-R for SketchUp. But since it's mesh data you can unwrap it in whatever you wish.

That sounds like good solution, I'll try it out. Thanks for the help!

With ThruPaint, use the Natural UV mode, not the QuadMesh UV mode. Your shape is not based on a quad mesh.
