How did you came to conclusion its fake?
I guess the page was 100% authentic, they simply posted it too early.

To lure people in buying a tampered software with injected code, maybe?... I know I sound paranoid and pessimistic, but it was just a theoretical hypothesis.

I thought that as well when I saw the site -
I'm pretty used to lack-luster sketchup releases at this point, 2017 was my favorite with just faster and better looking models. I've never used scalp and filled sections would be great! -
