Grant Warwick shaderball ... ...I uploaded the Control mesh and Final Mesh to 3Dwarehouse
such a great work again and sharing model contents is very generous since it gives us something to touch, study and learn

m1-helmet.skp -
Perfect!

I unwrap the shaderball with WrapR and texture the shaderball with Substance painter(I'm kind of newbie, learning it in Lynda.com)
Render with V-ray 3 for Sketchup(Thanks to Substance Painter Vray export preset)
Shaderball in Substance Painter
Shaderball in V-ray Frame Buffer
Thanks to all the hardworking developer,I never dreamed of having so much fun
Again, any cretique or advice is very much welcomed

Whew. Great texturing!

I can assure you it's not that interesting.
And anyway, If I told you I'd have to......... -
Just a bit of fun.
-
is it spinning so fast it looks like its moving?
whatever the voodoo is i wish SU could do it
-
Yes Rich you nailed it.
It's really an optical illusion, the .gif recorder frame rate helps too.
Here it is with the spin up and axes, so you can see it's just a trick. -
Somehow disturbing--too early in the morning for pulsing widgets?

CouldnΒ΄t you have said something like "I've combined a bit of Fredo's animator scripts with some of Thomthom's vertex scripts, I still have to do some finetuning, ..."
I would have believed it all ! And at Voodoo I would have believed as well
-
Still think there's some voodoo black magic stuff going on with Box's spinning, dancing thingy !
Back to the world of us mere mortals pic of a tufted bench model. Modeled when first learning SubD, went back into it and cleaned up early mistakes made. Think I got it straightened out o.k. Folks had a bench similar to this when I was a kid.
Attached the .skp also.

Spend half a day working on this Armchair, and now I call it done (it is not!).
This would be the first time I pulled this of doing armchair.
-
Very interesting textures...........

In render?
After modeling it I did not have any will left. -
nlipovac, great job. hard to believe it's your first try at an upholstered chair.

Thank you Tuna1957, but this is not my first try, it is my first successful finished armchair model.
I have over 20 models that I start and never finished and on all occasions, i lost my temper and aborted them (with a lot of screaming and swearing). -

Unfinished models are good practice! You try things you normally wouldn't attempt in these unfinished projects.
Eventually, all the unfinished practice yields benefits like the chair you shared. Really goo model

Thanks, Rich.
I know, I even started learning Blender to get some solid knowledge on Subdivision.
I do have some more furniture models I would like to model myself so we will see how that will go.
