Any News for Sketchup 2015?

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that part of the next version will be the 5 in its name.

After SketchUp v8 Trimble changed the version naming to reflect the year [v2014 etc], and said they'd be doing intermediate updates and annual releases of new versions.
So applying simple logic - it'd be a pretty safe bet that their team will be developing v2015 over the coming months.Although Trimble have thus far released new versions well into that version's year, they have brought these out ever earlier - so they may well be looking at more closely marching their version releases with the year's change itself...
Buy that's their commercial call...
This is unlike barmy AutoDesk who already have their r2015 versions out [since May 2014], and will almost certainly be pushing r2016 during Q2 of 2015 !Anyone, including SCF members, who has been coerced into the alpha/beta-testing of Trimble's products will almost certainly be bound by strict NDAs [Non-Disclosure-Agreements] - so they wouldn't even be able to tell you they were doing that - let alone reveal anything more substantial until it became 'public knowledge' anyway...
If there is any concrete news about v2015 I'm sure you'll hear it here soon enough... -
I prefered the previous numbering and, if they missed the point with 2013 wich should have been 9, then I believe this would be Sketchup 10.
Imagine: Sketchup X!
Sketchup X with the trimble logo in black! Pretty stylish if you'd ask me!
Maybe the X could be the move icon...
Well... what I'd really like to see is parametric or dynamic solid tools!

They never release anything about what's going to be in the next version until it's the current version.
Maybe because there was almost nothing new to release in the last years...?!?

I'm done with sketchup... I'm going back to autocad. I'm never buying sketchup again. it's the same thing over and over. and I never get bigger component and material thumbnails. I've had it I tell you! I'm uninstalling right now...
-
Ok... I'll wait a little longer... But if I don't get bigger thumbnails, someone will pay!
-
Kristoff Maybe you need these.
-
I already own the beginners set...

but we have bigger toolbar icons in 2014 now...
no benefit, less space. And no way to adjust it. This is progression! -

-
There is only one incontrovertible certainty regards the release of SU2015, People will complain.

no, i'm using sketchup for 10 years now and i don't know any checkboxes...
The small/large icon setting is maybe the first setting that i change after a fresh installation.
It is clearly wasted space in 2014. Most of the icons are not even bigger but only have more grey background now: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=15%26amp;t=58435And btw. the photomatch window does not fit in 2014! WHY?!?

It says here on the knowledgebase that it is released, haven't seen it yet though so maybe in the next few days? Does anyone know any more?
-
I don't see that it says anything about 2015... You know it's not April 1st right?
-
But the entry was there, i have seen it too. Must have been removed.
When you do a simple google search for sketchup 2015 you get a result which shows:

What's new about SketchUp Pro 2015 licenses
With the release of SketchUp Pro 2015 we have changed, and improved our licensing works. There are a number of significant changes which you wish to ...But its not possible to access the page.
So another change of the licensing system? I hope that it was no mistake to buy the needless v2014...
