Have you cleared your browser cache? [Safari for MAC]
I don't know if you're talking to me... Yes, I have cleared.

Hi guys
Have been away for some Sketchup for a few years and went to install SketchUcation Tools into my Sketchup 2016.
It's telling me this latest version of the plugin is incompatible with 2016, and to install v3~
Is there an archive I can download earlier versions from?
Also, I hear there was a possible slow-down problem with 3.0~??
Would v3.1.8 be better?Cheers,
Woz B.

For v2016 use the newest version 3 of the toolset [v3.1.8]
-
Hi @Tig,
I am looking to download version 3.1 that will work with SU 2016. (I know it's well behind the current SU version. It's what I have...)
Do you have a link for V3.1?
Or a trick to download it?Many thanks,
Miner_jeff

I've sent you a PM...

This plugin is being blocked by our Sonic Wall due to being behind an IP in Russia. I've used this extension for years and never had this issue. Did something change recently?

The IP indicated in the message is shown as being in Germany. I'm not getting the same message when I open it.

Nothing has changed on our side. More than likely your Sonic Wall misidentified the location of our server,
-
Published v4.3.0 with the following changes:
- Protection against decrypting RBE
- Adjustment in the binary to manage seat release
- Refresh of GUI
Other memory handling, error handling and bugfixes under the hood.
Make sure you update and Happy New Year!
-
I downloaded the most updated version ExtensionStore v4.3.0, and it still doesn't allow me to download extensions from there, I get a message like this
-
You shouldn't be putting extensions into Program Data. The extensions you add should be going into User/App Data/Roaming/SketchUp/.../Plugins. Program Data should have security settings to prevent you from putting files into it.

Hello, thanks for the help, I don't understand what I should do - when I ask to download the file I have 2 options where to save it, and in both it doesn't let me, what should I do? Can you tell me more?
Thank you.First, make sure you've installed SketchUp correctly. That requires right clicking on the downloaded installer and choosing Run as administrator. If you didn't do that, or don't know, do it now and when presented with the options, choose Repair.
When you are installing extensions, choose the User/App Data location. If SketchUp was installed correctly you should have permission to install into that folder.
FWIW, you don't want to add anything to any Program Data folders. There is a huge potential to lose anything you add if you need to reinstall the program because the folders can be overwritten.

I did that, and it still doesn't give me the option to install in a folder, is there anything else that can be done?
Go to the User/AppData/.../Plugins folder and delete the Sketchucation plugin file and the associated folder. Download the extension from Resources at the top of this page. Reboot your computer and then open SketchUp and use Extension Manager to install the Sketchucation Tool.

Hope I'm not bothering you...
No. You aren't but there's no need to be sending me PMs. That's limiting your options for help.

Do you have the latest version of the Sketchucation Tool? Do you have a firewall that might be blocking the connection? What version of SketchUp are you actually using? Your profile says 2020 Free/Make which is impossible as there is no such version.
-
You need the latest version of the SketchUcation toolset installing, and the extension itself, and in the case of Fredo's extensions Libfredo6...
After the installation restart SketchUp to sync everything.Save the license files to somewhere safe on your computer.
Try SCF license validation again...

We just published v4.3.1 with some small but important changes.
- License improvements for releasing seats
- Tooltip fixes
- Link pasting (Experimental)
The licensing part is important for those encountering issue when going offline. So please try testing if this resolves your issues. Especially the need to revalidate.
Link pasting, while experimental, is a new way to install extensions using a URL. So if your browsing around https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore and see something you like just right click > copy link
Now in SketchUp use the Paste icon in the footer to prompt for a link...
Paste in your link i.e https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=HoleEditor and hit Enter/OK
Or if your lazy pln=HoleEditor will also work
It's experimental at the moment and untested on Mac. So expect funky behaviour.
If you don't see a Paste icon in the footer press CTRL + F5 with the ExtensionStore dialog active to force a hard reload.
-
The install from link got a little more polish server side. No need to update extension. But a CTRL + F5 maybe needed to refresh cache in the dialog.
-
REQUEST TO THE DEVELOPER: Tackle this issue, it has not been solved by reinstalling neither SU (to 2023) nor removing and reinstalling a freshly downloaded Sketchucation Tools v4.3.1.
Every time I startup Sketchup, the ExtensionStore v4.3.1 from SketchUcation starts up as well and asks for its credentials, very annoying. Is there a way to stop this? Filling in the credentials doesn't help, every time the window is closed your credentials are lost and you can start from scratch...
Furthermore, the menu item on the right side is grayed out, and when clicking the settings button, you get a "Webpage cannot be found error". Please improve the tool.
-
It sounds like you have not installed the toolset correctly.
There should be a SketchUcation.rb loader file in your Plugins folder.
Also in the Plugins folder there should be a subfolder named SketchUcation - this contains several RBE files and other subfolders etc which are loaded and used as needed.
There's also an SCFlicense.rb and matching subfolder in that subfolder too. There should be nothing else loading from the Plugins folder when SketchUp starts except the SketchUcation.rb file which sets up the main extensions...
Reinstall the SketchUcation toolset from the RBZ which you can download from our PluginStore...
That way you'll get a 'clean install'...
Use the native Extension Manager > install button.
I suggest you delete all files and subfolders found within the Plugins folder that are NOT the SketchUcation.rb file or its subfolder. You can see these by opening the SketchUcation folder - there should be no duplicates of these files in Plugins.Another possibility is that you've somehow installed the toolset in the alternative Plugins folder usually reserved for complex extensions like renderers...
If it's [perhaps duplicated] there, as it starts up SketchUp will try to load it too...
Look in the probably hidden folder C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp NNNN\SketchUp\Plugins [where NNNN is the version year] and delete the SketchUcation.rb and matching subfolder if its there...
