[Plugin] Layers Panel 1.2.1
-
Of course, LP should behave normally after this. It's a fresh start.

Hi mr.Bob
Seem like the LP 1.0.3 have problems when I updated TT_Lib 2.9.9
I'm using Sketchup 2014 pro_Win8.1-64bit

Or is this SU bug and about this should think SU developers?
Yes - it's our fault. We're working on a fix.

That's a co-incidence. When you launch SketchUp via a SKP file that is located on a drive different from where SketchUp is installed something gets messed up in SketchUp Ruby. Launch SketchUp first, then open your file - that's the workaround until we release a fix.

After resetting the folders as you outlined. I was able to regroup and work in the file successfully. After closing SU and restarting my computer, the layers panel stop being responsive in that file. After working in the same file, using just the layers window, the layers panel reset the folders/grouping by itself. Once it reset itself, the layers panel worked, but the folders/grouping were deleted. Wondering if it's the plugin or my file.

I'm investigating with the file you gave me. This is weird.
Do you actively use Didier's Layers Manager, or is it just installed?
To you import geometry, or copy/paste between instances? -
I do actively use the Didler's Layer Manager. When transferring geometry, I usually copy and paste.

Hi, Jiminy! There's a problem when I use cyrillic font to rename new layer - some codes appear instead of cyrillic letters. Although it didn't happen before (win XP, SU 2013) Got any ideas?

I open Sketchup files on my travel USB HD from XnView all the time. So are you telling me, the safest way to open Sketchup files is from Sketchup and not a viewer?
IF so, this could explain a lot.
Thanks for your reply.

Yes, if you use plugins then until we get the fix released you're better of starting SketchUp first, then open the files from SketchUp. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Do you have an ETA for the fixed release?
-
Afraid not. WIP.

Layers Panel reached 300 unique daily users
(as far as I can see, there are probably more if there are multiple users on a single IP adress)A big thanks to all of you to motivate me pushing this plugin further and further!
It wouldn't be what it is today if not thanks to all your feedback and ideas. -
I still cannot undo without this appearing keeping the undo from happening:
Undo Layers Panel ID
-
Every time you undo?
-
I installed v1.0.4. and I am getting the same results of unresponsiveness. I went through and organised everything and after saving, closing the file and restarting it, it became unresponsive. I have reorganized my layers so many times without them staying active and/or organised that I am about to give up on your layers panel for this drawing.

Ctrl-z or Alt-backspace
Have to repeat many times before undo happens: most times undo never happens.
What's more, sometimes undo does work. -

I may have found what's causing this issue. Not 100% sure, though.
I'll release the fix soon.@bob james said:

Hmm, so not every time? Do you know in which case it doesn't happen? Or in which case it happens?
Does it happen in every file?
