              I'm so excited about this...
This is going to be such a great step for the Thea4SU plug-in...! πŸ‘

A little off topic... The grass in that model - how have you made it...? 😳

              Cheers

Got a suggestion for the proxy though:
Proxy display option like 3D Studio Max's mr Proxy where the proxy instance display a user specified number of vertices from the referenced model. That way you get a simple point cloud presentation of the linked geometry.

Alternatively, use the preview thumbnail on the proxy object. Though this means an extra material in the SU model.

My vote is on simple point cloud representation. One can use Contruction Points

It is a model from Thea forum by hsdstudio. I have positioned it in regular rows and used Chris' "scale&rotate" plugin on them. Thanks Chris! πŸ˜„

Good one! I am considering building a front face, at least for Thea Library Trees. Your point cloud solution sounds interesting.

I am wondering if there is someone who uses SU SDK for creating geometry? I am reluctant to try it, due to potential program stability problems.

I think Simlabs uses the C++ SDK to for their importers. Think they build a model with the SDK and import that - for speed.

wow....this looks so promising. Could someone elaborate if the trees are going to fee pay for or part of library for existing users?

They will be available for all licensed users.
