Updated main post with wireframes. As you can see it's very low poly. I started adding more polys around the front - I spend a long time with the front lights. Textures are from CGTextures.

That sport striping crossing the rusty door is in prefect condition compared to the surrounding paint. You could make a lot of money selling that rust-proof paint!
Well done render and placement. It could pass for a photo. +1 for bringing an old hot rod to life.

Yea, it was another detail I never got around to sort out. I had plans of making it flaked - peeling - with the underlying colour being darker where the pinstripe has recently peeled off. Alas...

I'm always amazed by you guys who can create realistic models of cars. Too many complex curves for my skills.
-
I should note that I did not model the car - I got it from the Warehouse if I remember correctly. I only remodelled parts of it to add detail - mostly I just experimented with V-Ray materials.
-
I think a very good model, and texture.

A slightly darker shadow under the car and it would be perfect. I truly thought it was a photo at first and scrolled down looking for the model.

True, it's lit only by HDRI - and a not very high quality HDRI - hence the poor shadows. What I learned later was how to combine HDRI and Sun/Sky.
It would be fun to revisit this project with smoother mesh and better HDRI background & light. Also some smoke effect from the tyres... hmmm....

Nice job on texturing and lighting set up. Good job mate.
cheers
