What do you mean it cannot be reversed? Do you mean modified? Of course it can. You simply open it for editing by right clicking on it and choosing Edit component or double clicking on it with the Select tool.

I don't mean to sound condescending but I think before you tackle this computer case, you should try some simpler things and actually learn to use the program.

Here's an example of my workflow. Perhaps it'll give you some ideas.

Yeah I know how to edit a component, but as soon as your done editing it and click somewhere else the component is saved. is it possible to make a component not a component?

Do you have any good guides I could read or video tutorials?

EDIT: thanks I'll take a look at your workflow πŸ˜„

I don't understand what the problem is with saving the changes in your component. Why would you want to edit something and not save the changes?

It wasn't intended as a basic tutorial but you should see that I draw one piece and make it a component before moving on to the next and I add details after all the large parts are in place by opening the components and editing them.

I still don't understand your comment that you don't want to save changes you make when you edit components.

You can make it a "Group" or you can "Make Unique".

Group makes it a simple individual bunch of geometry.
Make Unique keeps it as a component but a new one so it doesn't alter other versions of the original component, but will alter new versions of itself.

If you want to modify just one instance of a component make it unique (context menu or edit menu).

Ok thanks guys, I think I'll read up on the basics and make sure I know what I'm doing, then perhaps start on something more simple.

Your model is not bad, just build it like in real life: all separated parts must be a component or at least a group so they don't interfere with each others. πŸ‘
