With screenshots this good you almost don't need a renderer.

Thanks oganocali.. please tell that to my boss..

Try disabling GI from indirect illumination. If the render finishes the problem is most likely related to too many partially transparent objects. (I just had that issue)..

I've tried this but it didnt make an differences.. some other things must be wrong..

Are you using SU 8 Pro and what file size is your model. I have never had this happen but I wonder if you are running out of memory. Might want to try rendering directly to EXR file with a preview in the buffer and not the full rendering.

Many thanks for your reply. i'm new to this EXR file, never done it before. it would be really helpful if u can explain what it does, whats the logic and how to do it, or any links to an explanation would be great. Thanks

I would first remove the trees and try to take a render that way. If OK I would add the trees slowly.
This may be something similar to an issue that I posted earlier http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=322&t=43241.

I've tried that before, still the same thing happen, it was just dots..
we finally gave up on rendering, just go with sketchup screenshots instead.
But i still want to put my head around this thing, just so annoying..

You can do a little bit better than screenshot grab by exporting 2D graphic with anti-aliasing on.

try turning off Light cache (in secondary engine - select "none") Sometimes with complex materials, it takes a very long time (or hangs) when trying to process the LC pass.

i wonder why i didnt think of this before 😲
I'm in the middle of something else right now, i'll try as soon i got the chance. but then if it is the light cache , does it mean there's no hope for using it?
                  Many thanks Andy.

and also, is there anyway to check current vray version on sketchup? just throwing wild ideas that maybe people in the office dont really know bout the version, because they sound not really sure bout it.
                  Thanks everyone..

Yes ogan, that is just how people in the office call the exported image, "sketchup screenshots". sorry bout that. πŸ˜„
                    Thanks.

You'll get less calculation of reflected light. The light cache bounces light around the model and helps with indirect light. The irradiance map also does this, which is why it's not critical to have the LC. At least as far as I understand. I'm sure there is a more technical explanation out there, I just know the generalities...

If you figure out which materials are slowing it down, you could try adjusting those problem materials (fewer subdivisions, use bump instead of displacement, etc.) then try LC again.
