Hi all I'm glad to find this forum. Really had trouble with SU in the past till I ran into http://www.srww.com/blog/?p=13355 and has been going pretty good however I'm drawing furniture and using the template called Product Design for woodworkers in inches I guess they (SU) mean feet and inches because I have to edit text of dimension if it's more than 12". Any way to force dimension to read inches only.

      Thanks in advance

and more specifically, once you go to units as tig described, switch the format from architectural to fractional.
(and you can do this after all the dimensions are done in feet/inches.. the dimensions will update to reflect changes made in the units dialog.. you can switch between metric and imperial as well and the dimensions will update accordingly)

            Hey, Jeff:
Can you get that thing to stick his tongue out?

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

This is a SketchUp forum, not Staples. 😆
