Hi,
I would like to know what rendering softwares are still free for sketchup?
AFAIK, Indigo, Kerkythea, are no longer free...
thanks you in advance.
Maybe you have mixed with Thea Render (from the Kerkythea developer), but Kerkythea is still free (and remains so), like said before, and a update is on the road.

Thanks everyone for your answers.
Happy to know that kerkethea is still free and that it'll be updated.
Pilou, I havn't heard about Yafaray for sketchup before, it seems a pretty good renderer too.
Thanks again.

Kerkythea is a good package, with an excellent bunch of experts who are very helpful on the forum. For those who know how to use it will provide superb results & decent output for the rest of us!
If you want pay a little money, Twilight Render provides an easier front end to the Kerkythea engine, with a template based workflow.Never tried, but there is a plugin for the POV-RAY rendering package created by Didier Bur http://rld.crai.archi.fr/rld/plugin_su2pov.php. I see the POV-Ray package bundled with engineers lighting calculation software.

You can also try the new free Autodesk 123D
It can reload a skp file and have yet something for a neat render in simple space

two more
LuxRender http://www.luxrender.net/
There is an Su2Lux plugin, and some users in these forums.Mitsuba http://www.mitsuba-renderer.org/
uses DAE Collada format, but very much beta, and no recent updates. All have relatively steep learning curves, though.

You need to do a better check before you post.

Perhaps now that your post has been shown to be wrong you might take a leaf out of your own book and...

Kris, your list has Maxwell at $775. That is for the full suite. The standalone engine\plugin for SU is $99. Might want to list them both.

No problem. I have the $99 version and it's a damn good, low cost option that can good work with a bit of set up.
