E-on-Lumenrt render for Sketchup

Yikes... All the house animations I make have more than 600K edges and 300+ textures. I've been using LightUp so far but I had hoped to improve them with Lumen, adding raytraced reflections and sharper sun shadows.
Looks like I'll have to wait.
FYI: LightUp is adding planar reflections just like lumenRT uses.

Yes I'm on Win7 64 bits SP1. But All liveCubes are not working. I have an error message saying that my graphic card is not compatible even if my system fulfil the requirements.
Hi Panga,
Can you visit the e-on Tech support page and enter a bug report on your issue with the Quadro 1800 graphics card. LumenRT should work fine with this card. Here's the link:

where can I buy nice 3d trees? so I can use it with Lumen RT
-
Do you guys have something rendered in lumenrt you can show us? I would love to see something made by real users, not those demo stuff
Thanks!
-
No,
I'm still unable to produce anything with it as the fix for my graphic card is not released yet...or did I miss something ?? Two or Three weeks after buying it...
-
I'm sorry to hear that, I keep thinking it's strange to not release a demo of the soft to try before buying, anyway I hope your problem will get solved quickly.

It's even stranger being completely unable to see the forum before buying.

yes indeed, it looks like they have something to hide

Hi guys, here is a very quick and dirty example (probably e-on would not be proud of) I made when testing bump and reflection maps.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25025526/Untitled.exe (Mac users, sorry but I did not export a Mac compatible version yet as I could not test it anyway)Note two things when loading:
- the scene is a bit off my ground plane so if you start walking around, scroll a bit to zoom in and only then click the mouse.
- LumenRT places your scene onto its ground based on the lowest point (in my case, the bottom of the pool) of the model so you can easily "fall off" if you have basements or such, deep pools (certainly I should have added a bigger ground plane to the model but again, it was just for a quick test, nothing "real" as a presentation)
Press F1 to see all navigation and other options. Note that this model does not have SU scenes so exporting animation or playing it in kiosk mode is not possible (that was not part of my testing).
I should probably make some better model/example to show. Here is what you can "expect".

I liked to works Vue and it Versions
but
Will it be a good rival for Vray RT ? -
I cannot compare as I do not know Vray RT (to be honest, did not even know there is one).

no Mr Gaieus there are Vray RT and they release Vray RT 2.0 demo true I see it in Vray Max right now I don't know is there version to SU in true i wish ?
you can see this Tutorial For Vray RT

thanks gaieus for this little test, it's still not revolutionary I would say, maybe with more time you could achieve better results. Can you choose between multiple presets for the environment or you have just one? Can you render movies or is it only for realtime presentations to move around in your model?
-
There are more environment presets (neutral white, bad weather, nce weather - the one I exported - blue sky - with no clouds).
Also note that the above render was made with the poorest quality available (draft) and there are three more "levels".
If your model has animation scenes, after you launch the viewer, it will automatically start playing it. You can also export those animations just like a SU movie.
-
ok so it looks like it's better than I thought, mmmh I'm tempted but as student I think it's still a little expensive for something I will not use everyday. Thanks Gaieus!

Panga,
There's a user on the e-on registered forum who has a problem very similar to yours. The latest update appears to have solved his problem. Did you give it a try?
Best regards

Hi Panga, were you able to get this problem resolved for your graphics card?
-
Hi,
Yes I was the user on e-on forums that encountered the issue ! Everything is fine with my graphic board now.
-
nice to hear! hope to see some rendered livecubes

Hi Everyone,
Just a heads up. There's a new update for LumenRT coming out this week. It includes a greatly improved ability to render very large models more efficiently with much better performance. More details are forthcoming on this later after the update is released.
