Or uninstall the Logitech driver altogether. It isn't needed. The mouse will work just fine without it.

But only if you have a simple mouse, ie: 2 buttons and a wheel that Windows built-in drivers recognizes.

If you have a complex mouse; like my Logitech MX-600, with 5 additional buttons, Win will not recognize those extra buttons. The Logitech drivers allow you to redefine any of the 10 available buttons & wheel to do pretty much anything you want, as well as read the battery status.

Unfortunately SU still does not recognize any more than the 2 main buttons and the wheel.

Perhaps for a complex mouse that makes sense but the mouse that the OP was asking about is just a simple mouse.

            I have a magic mouse.
I use Mac OS and Windows 7 (BootCamp).

I work with SketchUp and need the wheel click for orbit.

Anyone can tell how can i config the BetterTouchTool??

Because i try MagicPrefs and BetterTouchTool, but when i click
on middle mouse button (center surface of Magic Mouse, since it does not have buttons 💚 )
the screen rolls to page with Widgets (Don't know the name).
Gesture: Single finger middle click > Assigned: Middleclick.
Doe anyone can tell me witch option is correct to assign?

And with Windows OS (via BootCamp), anyone know how can i activate middle button of Magic Mouse?
Right and Left CLick and Zoom works ok. But don't have middle click for orbit.

If i can't get work middle click of Magic Mouse on Mac OS and Windows via Bootcamp, i will
give up and sell this MagicMouse. And work with a traditional mouse.

            Thanks for your help! 👍

              hey Fabio..

i don't have (or ever had) a magic mouse so i'm not sure how much help i can be but something to try is assigning middle click to:

              control-command-left mouse button

that's a shortcut for orbiting that google doesn't seem to document anymore.. (it's different then the default 'O' for orbit which switches to the orbit tool…).. this is how i work when using only my trackpad when drawing on a laptop..

so first, try orbiting by holding the control and command keys then left mouse button.. that should work… then try assigning that combo in bettertouchtool.. that should work too ?

as far as bootcamp.. uh.. i really don't know.. but i assume there's a windows equivalent of ^⌘LMB for orbiting?

                Hello Jeff,

                Thanks for reply.
I found the problem. The middle click was assigned at system preferences to open Dashboard.
Only disable that shortcut to Dashboard and middle click orbit worked fine.

But this control-command-left click is very good. Don't need to switch to orbit.
Worked on SKP (Mac OS) but not on SKP (Win 7 via Bootcamp).
I don't know if SKP (Windows Version) has a shortcut equivalent. I will try to find anything like this for Windows version.

On BetterTouchTool i didn't found an option to assign all this things (control+comand+left click).
It's ok, because middle click worked now.

But the most important that i saw:
Magic Mouse is very bad to work with SketchUp! Not accurate and middle click does not work well.
                Sometimes work, sometimes doesn't.

The touch functions is very good when working on Apple's sofware, but with Sketchup doesn't.
I will change for another mouse.
I can work with a button mouse and with trackpad to multitouch gestures... i think is the best choose.

                Sorry about my english.

                Thank you very much!

                  Hello guys.

I'm using SU 2015 on my Macbook Pro and all of a sudden the middle mouse button on a cheap logitech mouse (which i don't know the model) stop working. Last time i worked on it everything was perfectly fine. Now i can't pan/orbit with using the MMB. Tried another cheap logitech mouse that i have here and i doesn't work either... Haven't changed anything, so i can't find out what's wrong. I'm not using any drivers.

Can anyone help me out with this?

                  Thanks in advance

Did you look in the System settings for any mouse settings?

                      3 things to look for...

1 - change the mouse batteries

2 - check if there is any metallic object between the mouse and the RF receiver connected to the computer. Range between the 2 is a factor as well.

3 - If the wheel works in other apps, the problem is not the mouse.

@ leegeten I use a Logitech mouse simular to the one you pictured there and have used it on several Macs and several different OS X and Dave has the best and only solution Don't use the Logitech driver it will screw it up and the scroll wheel won't work. You may have to Google search how to remove the driver on a Mac, probably in your Application Support folder.

                          Hi folks.

I also use a Logitech wireless mouse on my Macbook Pro.

One day, It was not working. The trouble was that I had accidentally unplugged the small device that plugs into one of the USB ports to link the mouse to the computer.

                          Just ideas.

like the magic mouse for everyday use, but terrible with SU or CAD. tried a cheap Logitech, scroll wheel click would only take me to the widget dashboard. drove me nuts , didn't know how to change it. bought a logitec m325 the scroll wheel clicks left, right and down. click down still takes you to widgets but push to right and you get your orbit, yeah!!!

I've found that on a Mac there can be multiple layers of processing on mouse events. The OS does one layer, the mouse driver does another layer, and the running app does another layer. These all need to align for the middle button and scroll wheel to behave as expected. For example, on my Mac I need to connect the mouse and then manually open the Microsoft Mouse item in System Preferences after a system reboot; it does not initialize unless I follow this sequence (yeah, I know, crappy mouse - but what I had available from a prior Windows box).
