What would it be the best way to make a vray glass material with a "fake" sky reflection?
I'll try to explain. Let's say I have a glass skyscraper, and I want to see the sky reflecting on the glass windows. But there is no sky in the scene... Is there a way to give a sky texture to the glass material in the material editor? Or I don't know? How would you do it?
When I put a jpeg map texture in the diffuse channel, and give it transparency, it looks foggy and pale, and most def. not good...

Add a 360 environment texture map in the Background slot in the Environment section of your Options. If you don't want it visible in the render, but only want to see it in the reflection, put it in the reflection slow.

I would like to get the effect of having a reflection on the glass with a map bitmap
I do not want to see the background image.
Looks like it works very well
            Are these settings?
            Thanks

Yes - that is where you'd put the reflection map.

What do you mean by "Slow?"? Is that another question? You find it affecting render times?

Ahhh ahhh ahhh, the gnome of the forum ... hopefully not mix things again!
In your experience, what are the minimum dimensions for the spherical reflection map?
                      Beware the gnome!

That would depend on the resolution you render in.
Fro background they need to be quite big - but in reflection maps I usually find that you can get away with smaller maps - but it depends on the scene.

and if the reflection is still a bit hazy and blury and mirror material is too dark?
