Dear Fredo6,
There is a small problem with your plugin checker
http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=52384
Kind regards,

At this time, LibFredo6 version 4.9b 19 May 13 is not listed as such in the Plugins Index yet, and the Plugin Store does not list it yet, either. I realize that the database keepers will update this soon, just wanted to report.

Yes, we know - Fredo is changing versions frequently at the moment - once the dust settles be assured that it'll get into both the Index and the Store [the updating is not 'automatic' - it needs human intervention to ensure it's kosher...] -
NEW RELEASE: LibFredo6 v4.9c - 20 May 13
LibFredo6 4.9b is a technical release still dedicated to some issues on Mac platforms.

It cannot create the folder because you do not have FULL security permissions to your Plugins folder... FCS it has been covered in a dozen posts a hundred times...Since you decline to give us any information about your OS etc then I must therefore guess...
That you have Windows...
If you [with some Admin Rights] find your SketchUp/Plugins folder and select its icon and right-click > context-menu > Properties > Security...
You will find that you do NOT have FULL permissions.Therefore... Edit... and give everyone listed FULL permissions.
Now everything will work.I reiterate:
This will apply to most users.
IF YOU WANT TO INSTALL PLUGINS [EITHER MANUALLY OR AUTOMATICALLY] AND THEREAFTER HAVE THEM WORK WITHOUT ERROR YOU MUST DO SO INTO A FOLDER FOR WHICH YOU HAVE 'FULL' SECURITY PERMISSIONS.
On your own PC it is not beyond the wit of man to set your security-permissions appropriately.
Therefore fix the permissions to the main Sketchup/Plugins folder...
This is most prevalent on PCs... BUT MAC users need not feel so smug, because their 'plugins' folder in the 'HD' path [NOT the 'user' one] might also need resetting to have FULL Read/Write permissions...If you are on a business or academic network you might have restricted access-rights to the main Sketchup/Plugins folder. Therefore you must install plugins into a 'custom-plugins' folder to which you have FULL rights... If this is the case, then seek further advice on how to contrive this...
Or you might want to 'centralize' your plugins-folder on a personal network for use by several personal PCs... then again you might need to make special arrangements to allow for this setup... if so ask again...

On MAc, with SU 2013, the HD///SketchUp 2013//Plugins folder does not exist.
So only the User/library/application support/SketchUp 2013/SketchUP/Plugins. -
Sketchup 2013 currently does not support the all latest LibFreso plugins....please consider in your next update.
Thanks!!

With LibFredo6 4.9c, this should be OK.

Fredo6.
First of all, thank you very much this plug in is great, works perfectly, simple. Superb.
Question is, can I install it on V2013? I copied from my plugins folder from V8 and doesn't work and makes SU crash. Is there a way around it?
Many thanksAlex

You would find it useful to go back to the first post of this thread and read. It is clearly spelled out that there has been an updated version. You should download and install that instead of using the old version you had in your SU8 Plugins directory. In fact you should download current versions of all of Fredo's plugins instead of using the old ones.
Get the Sketchucation Plugin Store and you can download and auto install all of the plugins you need through it.

Hey Fredo- can't get any of your plugins running on win 8 64 with SU 2013 - here's the error message...
"Cannot load plugin LibFredo6 because the script cannot create DEFPARAM_Dir folder in:
c:/Program Files (x86)/Sketchup/Sketchup 2013/PluginsPlease create it manually, respecting the case
Then this error continues for the rest of my Fredo6 plugins and it ends with this:
Error Loading File LibFredo6.rb
undefined method `average_load_time' for Traductor::Plugin:Classthoughts?

It sounds like you may not have full permission for your Plugins folder...and Windows won't create the necessary sub-folder. Make sure that all the user names in your Plugins folder's Properties/Security all have full edit permission.
-
If you shared your OS etc in your User-profile details it helps us to help you...
Sounds like Alan's is right.
The inability to make the folder suggests that you have limited security permissions to the Plugins folder.
[Re]Set them to FULL for every one listed.BUT the missing file in the next message suggests that you have not properly installed the Lib folder etc...
This might be a mistake in the way you have extracted/installed it, OR it might look like it looks like it's installed OK, but in fact the dread Windows 'Compatibility Files' VirtualStore has kicked in to save you from yourself [resetting permissions to full for the Plugins folder should stop it recurring but you need to sort out the mess it made before the fix!]... This has been discussed endlessly in many threads...
