[Plugin][$] Tools On Surface - v2.6a - 01 Apr 24
-
Fredo, I noticed something else. I have SU v7 and I have this other plugin with a SU example. This example file is of SU v6.4 and to my surprise I can see CadFather icons there! But not in my SU v7.
UPDATE
Fredo, I uninstalled all the plugins that I downloaded to see if there was a conflict. I reinstalled your plugin first with CadFather icons and voila it worked!! So, it seems that there was a conflict with another plugin. I will go ahead and reinstall one by one the rest of the plugins too see which one is the culprit. I'll let you know.
UPDATE #2
Fredo, the second plugin I reinstalled was your FredoScale 2.0g and now I get a warning message in SU:
undefined method
[]' for nil:NilClassError Loading File ZLoader__OnSurface.rb undefined method

NEW VERSION 1.5a - 17 Sep 09
The main evolution is the addition of a Button palettefor better visualizing and modifying the various options of each tool. Freehandalso gets a Point & Click mode, which makes it equivalent to a Polyline On Surface, With and Without inferences (easier to draw over images).
See attachment and documentation in main post of this thread at http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=11212#p76625ToolsOnSurface 1.5 requires to install LibFredo6 3.4 or higher.
See post at http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=17947&p=144178#p144178 for download and installation.Fredo
PS: Many thanks to Takeshi who helped to troubleshoot some issues on Mac.

Never mind, I found it. My settings were preventing me from going back to the first page.
By the way, thank you very much.

Wow Fredo. That freehand tool looks incredible. I'm wondering if a similar algorithm could be used to automatically extract a traced cutout from a transparent .png image....by locating the pixel data. Make a rectangle, drop a .png texture on it, run the plugin and be left with a polygon the shape of the transparent image.
Sorry for the digression, just thinking of how amazing that pixel identification technique is and what other purposes it could serve.
Thanks for the update for TOS!!!

No clue whether this can be done (but this would be very different from Freehand). The minimum would be to be able to read a PNG encoded file. There is a Ruby library for that (RMagick by Tim Hunter) but it's probably a lot of processing.

Fredo
I believe Page 13, "Drawing without a surface" one of the following lines is incorrect.
LEFT: for vertical plane defined by Red and Blue axis
RIGTH: for vertical plane defined by Red and Blue axis - I think this should be Green and Blue axisSo thanks for the great plugin

Great update!!
Here I made alternative icons and cursors

IMAGES_DanielS.zipTools On Surface has 13 tools... I'm not superstitious but I vote for a new tool (Tape measure on Surface?)

Marvelous set of tools, Thanks a ton Fredo, these will empower me to push SU even further.

Can the TOS_Dir_13 folder be removed?

The Any button is brilliant! Save so much precious space.
btw, how are you drawing the icons for your viewport toolbar? most of them looks like simple line drawinsgs - but some, like the exit button looks more complicated? bitmap?
And how do you draw coloured filled areas?
