@tuna1957 Thank you. Shapers were fairly common in the late 1800s and early 1900s. There are still some in use today, though.

You probably won't believe it but here's another little steam engine. This is a 2-cylinder engine driving a duplex water pump.

If you hadn't mention what it was I would've guessed it was this...

A twin cylinder steam powered donut delievery device? That would be cool.

In the meantime here's an idler sprocket for #40 roller chain.

                                  BANG! :😁

Actually that's the cap for the fuel tank. It's supposed to have knurling on it but I was getting bored. There's a nother cap on top of the boiler for adding water that needs the knurling and I have to add a spring and some other details.

I love seeing raw engineering. These days they spend more time compressing it into smaller spaces and then concealing it.

These older designs were purer and showcased the use.

                                          Great modelling too.

@Rich-O-Brien I agree. I also like seeing what is possible without electronics and computer controllers. Although it might be a bit anachronistic, modeling these steam engines in SketchUp makes it easier to understand how they work and appreciate the designs.

                                            Thank you!
